- Who Pays on Dates in Colombia?
When going on dates in Colombia with Colombian women, some of you may wonder “who pays” for the date.
In the US and some other countries, it seems to be more common for people to pay their own end of the date and be fine with that
However…
Most women are going to expect you to pay for the dates in Colombia
Generally speaking, things are a little more conservative with that still with dates in Colombia
Of course, in my time living in Colombia, I have also seen plenty of foreign guys get angry at Colombian women when it comes to this manner
You see, some guys will end up taking a chick on a date in which he spends a bit and gets nothing in return
Some of these guys also get really taken advantage of and she ends up costing the guy a bunch of money that would not be spent on a normal date
As a result, a lot of foreign men will end up saying that “all Colombian women are gold diggers”
That “All Colombian women” just want to exploit every guy they see and use them as a walking ATM
However, that’s not true in my experience.
Most Colombian women are not gold diggers….
But you do need to be smart with your money and who you spend it on.
If you just met this chick a few days ago, you shouldn’t be taking her out to a restaurant in my opinion
Because most Colombian women, in my experience, will be OK with a first date that doesn’t involve a restaurant or you spending lots of money on here
And if she’s not OK with that, and wants you to spend lots of money, then it’s better to skip her and find another chick to goon a date with
Therefore, when it comes back to the basic point behind this article – who pays on the first date?
The question itself is a bit more complicated than that.
Because it also depends on what exactly you are paying for in the first place.
A nice meal? I don’t think so.
Why not pay for a nice meal on a first date?
First, it’s completely unnecessary. Regardless if you want sex or something serious, there is no point in spending that muchmoney on a chick before either one happens.
Most chicks, if she is attracted to you, will be willing to have sex with you or have something more serious with you as long as you don’t mess things up.
Second, you are more likely to attract gold diggers if you are willing to spend more money on dates before anything happens.
Period.
In my experience….
I rarely come across gold diggers because I simply don’t agree to spend lots of money on chicks. Naturally, these chicks who only want money spent on them go away to find some other sucker.
Instead, when it comes to the first date, I might instead take a chick to a café or a park for example. You won’t spend as much and you are less likely to have some of the issues mentioned before.
Therefore, when it comes to setting up the first date, you should always aim for the date to be at a park, a café or a bar. Andin most cases, unless she’s the exception, you are going to be paying for the entire date.
The Exception
Having said all that, it’s also time to make an exception to the rule that “you always pay.”
In some cases, you may not be paying for the date or only half of it
Therefore, in those cases, you might be on a date with a Colombian chick that is a bit wealthier
In my experience dating Colombian chicks, it’s more common among the more liberal chicks that actually have a solid job and some money to be OK with paying for her end of the date
Moreover….
Some of these chicks even offered to pay for my end (a cup of coffee or whatever)
…right before we would later have sex
And as said before, this only happens with chicks who have their life well established financially
I have never had a chick who was poor or didn’t have anything going with her life offer to do this
And in addition to that, even the chicks who had their finances in order would not be OK with splitting the cost of the date ifthey were more conservative and traditional
Therefore, you may ask “how many Colombian chicks are both liberal on this manner and also have their finances in order?”
Very few.
Furthermore…..
Location Matters
It should also be noted that the amount of chicks that will be willing to pay for their own cost of the date will vary greatly bycity in Colombia.
As it tends to with most things I have noticed in Colombia
For example, my first days in Colombia were in Barranquilla
There are not that many chicks, very few, who would be willing to pay their own end of the date.
In most Colombian cities, most chicks will not want to pay that on their dates in Colombia
Only the more liberal ones that have their finances in order
And those that fit that description are even rarer in cities like Barranquilla, Cali, Bucaramanga, Pereira, etc.
In addition, it depends on how wealthy the city is also.
The wealthier the city, the more chicks you will find that are open to this
So in a city like Bogota, your chances here are better at finding a chick who is open to splitting the cost of the date than anywhere else in Colombia
Moreover, there’s also an OK amount of chicks that would be open to this sort of thing in places like Medellin and Cartagena
Though it’s less common in those cities than in Bogota
Short Summary of Main Points about Dates in Colombia
- In most cases, the man pays for the entire date in Colombia.
- Not all Colombian women are gold diggers.
- Do not take her to a restaurant or spend a lot of money on her on the first date. Especially, not before you two become more serious physically or romantically.
- Colombian women who are more liberal and have their finances in order will be more likely to pay for her end of the date or the entire date itself.
- The amount of women that are willing to pay for some or all of the date will vary by city in Colombia.
