Would you like to know then how to get laid then through the EDM scene in Colombia?
This is something that very few if any foreigners are actually doing in Colombia
Why?
Because most of them are taking their bets on approaching chicks near Parque Lleras in Medellin or going to some of the gringo bars in Colombia
But in this amazing guide, you will learn a new way to meet sexy Colombian girls that most foreigners are not doing
And that is by going to places where there’s EDM music and using that to meet pretty Colombian chicks that you can hookup with later
So let’s get started by first covering the basic information and then breaking down how you can get laid at the EDM venues
What is EDM
First, EDM stands for electronic dance music.
It is also known as club music or dance music by the way.
In Spanish, this type of music is often labeled EDM also. The Spanish translation for it is also música electrónica. It is also known in Spanish as música club and música dance.
You will often see this type of music being played at different nightlife venues such as nightclubs, raves or festivals.
At these events, you will see DJs playing different tracks of music, which is called a mix.
With the music they play, you will often hear different genres, including trance, techno, drum and bass, trap, footwork, dubstep, house, dance-pop, big room, veejays, deejays, deep house, hardstyle and more.
In Colombia, they normally call these genres of music by their English sounding names. So house music is still house and trance, techno, eurodance, dance pop or hard dance are still called that for example. Just remember that when you are looking for these events in Colombia.
To help you get to know more about this type of music, I included a long example of what some of this music sounds like below. Hopefully you like it because you will be hearing music similar to this if you go to these events. Though not all the music will sound like this because there are different genres. But hopefully you enjoy this music and get laid at these events.
But why are these events great opportunities to get laid?
Why EDM Events are Great for Getting Laid
For several reasons parceros!
First, there is a great EDM scene in some of the more urban cities in Colombia. So plenty of opportunities to go to one of these events. Plus, for this reason, Colombia tends to attract good musical talent to their EDM events.
Second, because of the good EDM scene as mentioned above, you also occasionally get other Latinas coming to Colombia to enjoy the events here. It’s been my experience that I have met Argentineans, Mexicans and a few other Latinas here from time to time. You won’t see lots of cute girls from other countries but it’s not rare.
Third, the music isn’t hard to dance to. Compare this to salsa for example or a few other Latin dances and you will find it easier to dance to house music overall.
Fourth, these type of events have a great atmosphere for dancing and enjoying yourself as you can imagine. The vibe and the atmosphere overall help with escalating physically with women. Which leads us to another point…
Fifth, the women at EDM scenes tend to be very easy to escalate with. Even if you were dead and didn’t have have a pulse, you could still get cute girls to dance with you as a lifeless corpse. On top of that, simply making out in general is quite easy also. One of the reasons for that is because…
Sixth, EDM scenes tend to bring with them a “no judgment” attitude when it comes to behavior. This usually applies to drug use but also when it comes to making out with a stranger. So women here usually feel much more comfortable escalating physically with a guy.
Seventh, it’s my experience that chicks at these events usually have a bigger thing for foreign men than chicks in other venues. If you are a foreigner, you will do better here overall. Not only because the women here are more DTF with foreign men but also because….
Eighth, I often found that English levels are better in these events than in other venues. This is because these venues tend to be in more urban places like Bogota where you would have more English speakers. But also because the chicks here are more likely to have a thing for foreign men. This usually translates to having had more romantic and sexual experiences with foreign men. Mix that in with their general interest in foreign countries and they are more likely to have learned more English in their lives.
So if you don’t speak much Spanish….
I can’t guarantee you will find a decent girl for you that speaks English but it’s more likely here in these types of venues than in so many of the other venues that you will find in Colombia.

Which Colombian Cities Have the Best EDM Scene
In my experience, the best two cities in Colombia for EDM are Bogota, Medellin and Cartagena.
All have quite a few opportunities overall.
And though I might be a bit biased given I live in Bogota, I’d say Bogota has a better EDM scene than Medellin or Cartagena when you compare them all.
But what about the rest of Colombia?
Well, EDM music does exist in other Colombian cities as well.
You can find a decent amount of events and some nice EDM venues also in Cali as that city is great overall.
Outside of all of that, the following cities see enough EDM action also to be worth a good visit: Barranquilla, Cúcuta, Bucaramanga, Pereira, Manizales and Santa Marta.
I’ve even seen online supposedly there being EDM events having been held in lesser known cities like Ibagué.
Of course, outside most of the bigger and well known cities, your chances of finding an EDM event are going to be a lot smaller.
In short, Bogota, Cartagena Medellin tend to bring in most of the talent while smaller cities like Cali, and Barranquilla also bring in an OK amount.
On top of that, don’t forget which cities tend to have the hotter chicks also. Places like Medellin for example have plenty. And women from Bogota and Cartagena are good also.
Additionally, keep in mind that obviously you would be even more a novelty in EDM events in some cities versus others. As you already know, Medellin has a ton of foreigners visiting each year to get laid.
Though times are changing, places like Barranquilla or Cali would still bring you even more points for being the foreigner in the area. Thus, better chance of success.
However, keep in mind that women in these EDM events in more touristy cities like Medellin or Cartagena are not as likely to be expecting to see you there anyway. As said before, most foreigners looking to get laid in Medellin go to Parque Lleras or a gringo bar for example.
So much of that “sex tourist” stereotype that foreign men have in Medellin or Cartagena is much less likely to be an issue anyway.
And given I don’t usually see another foreign man like myself at one of these events in Colombia, I can attest that you would still be unique here to be interesting to some chicks.
That isn’t to say you will be the only foreign dude if you show up to one of these as some do
Just that I have didn’t usually see too many before so it’s not as common as you would think
But it also depends on where the EDM festival is for example
If you are at a festival in a place like Cali for example, then it would be less common as there are less foreigners there
Versus a EDM festival in a place like Bogota or Medellin where there would be a bit more
But even in the bigger cities like Bogota, it’s still a little bit hard to notice foreigners also because of the large crowd size and how everyone is focused on their own thing
Mixed in with the fact that there aren’t too many foreign men traveling to Colombia for EDM events as there are plenty of those in the US anyway
Therefore, plenty of cute Colombian women to have fun with in cities like Medellin too
So if you are going to Colombia and would like to meet some nice chicks at these events, I’d recommend Bogota, Medellin or Cartagena over any of the other cities first and foremost.
Primarily because of…
- Greater amount of events
- The more women that show up as these places are bigger
- Medellin having some of the hottest women in Colombia
- And that the “sex tourist” suspicion against foreigners is almost non-existent in these venues
- Not as many prostitutes or prepagos in these events given most of them go to other nightlife venues looking for where more of the gringos would be
But now that you know which cities are the best…
How will you know when exactly these events are being held and where to go?
EDM Venues by Colombian City
For purposes of this part of my guide, we will break this down city by city in terms of helping you find specific venues to go to.
Unfortunately, I can’t tell you when any specific EDM event will be held since it depends on when dates for events are finalized.
However, with the links provided in this section of the guide under each city, you will be able to do your own research as to when specifically EDM events will be held in your respective Colombian city.

EDM Venues in Bogota
First, you have the website BogotaElectronica
This is by far one of the best websites I have seen online that gives extensive information on the EDM scene in Bogota.
They have information on….
- Specific EDM artists
- Latest news on the EDM scene in Bogota
- An online shop where you can buy tickets to events
- A calendar in which certain events and their dates are advertised in advance
- The names of specific venues you should visit that often have EDM music
And much more

When it comes to specific places you should visit in Bogota for EDM music, check out the following areas. These are places recommended by BogotaElectronica or places recommended elsewhere online.
- Mas57Club: This place is located on Calle 93 # 13A – 10 in Bogota. For food, they are open from 12 PM to 3 AM. You can also enjoy their drinks from 5 PM to 12 AM. The electronic music goes from 10 PM to 5 AM. Their Facebook is here.
- Octava: This is another space for electronic music. They are located on Carrera 8 # 63 – 41. They are open Friday to Saturday from 10 PM to around 5 or 6 AM. Their Facebook is here.
- El COQ: This place is located in Zona Rosa of Bogota in Calle 84 No 14 – 02. They are open Wednesday to Saturday from 10 PM to 3 AM. Their Facebook is here.
- Billares Londres: This place is located is located on Carrera 7 # 21 – 94. Their Facebook is here.
- VLAK Club: This place seems to be located on Carrera 6 # 26B – 61. They do not seem to have a Facebook and information is limited about them. For more information, check out this piece here.
- Video Club: This place is located on Carrera 64 #13 – 09. They are open on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 PM to 6 AM. Their Facebook is here.
- BAUM: Located on Calle 33 #624. They are open from 9 PM to 8 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. Their Facebook is located here.
- Tres/Cero/Tres: This is a club located on Carrera 14a #83 37. They are open Wednesday to Saturday from 8 PM to 3 AM. Their Facebook is here.
- Piso 30 — The End: This place is located on Carrera 7 # 24 – 51.
- Vagabound: This place appears to be located on Carrera 11A #93 – 18. Since I couldn’t find their Facebook, I’m not sure about their hours. Their Twitter is here and their number to make reserves and bookings is 3102937615.
- Armando Records: This place only has EDM music on some nights. It is worth a visit anyway. They are located on Avenida Calle 85 # 14 – 46. They are open from 9 PM to 3 AM from Tuesday to Saturday. Their Facebook is here and their website is here.
EDM Venues in Medellin
As said before, there are plenty of places in Medellin also that have good EDM music.
First, there is a collective of DJs that host EDM events in Medellin called Intelligent Division. Their Facebook is here.
Now some of the places that you should check out are:
- Calle 9+1: This place is located on #10 Carrera, 40#25 near Parque Lleras. They are open from Friday to Saturday from 8 PM to 4 AM. They also seem to quite possibly be open on Thursdays. Their Facebook is here.
- Salón Amador: This place is located on Carrera 36 #1038. They are open on Wednesday from 10 PM to 2 AM and Thursday to Saturday from 10 PM to 4 AM. Their Facebook is here.
- Id Club: This place is located on Carrera 56 #72a115. They are open Friday to Saturday from 10 PM to 6 AM.
- Top Secret: This place is located on Calle 50 #67 – 100. It is not very clear though when they are usually open. For more information, their Facebook is here.
- MUTE: This club is located close to Medellin but not quite in Medellin. It’s located in a place called Itagüi on Carrera 56 #72A – 115. They are open Thursday to Saturday from 10 PM to 6 AM. Their Facebook is here.
- Club 1984: This place is located on Carrera 44 #25 – 15. They are open on Wednesdays from 7 PM to midnight. Then they are open from Thursdays to Saturdays from 9 PM to 4 AM. On Sundays, they are open 2 PM to 2 AM. Their Facebook is here.
- BOT: This place is located on Calle 44 #74-80. They are open Friday to Saturday from 9 PM to 4 AM.
- Libido Bar: This place is located on Carrera 51 #79 – 63. Their Facebook is here.
EDM Venues in Cartagena
I have much more limited experience with EDM venues in Cartagena. Much of what is recommended in this list comes from online or from a few people I know who live in Cartagena. The following places in Cartagena I would recommend since they always or often enough play EDM music.
- Fragma Club: This place can be found on Carrera 2 #36 – 86. They are open from 9 PM to 4 AM from Thursday to Saturday. Their Facebook can be found here.
- Envissa Cartagena: This place can be found on Calle Portocarrero 7 – 33 Piso 4. They are open from 7 PM to 4 AM on every night of the week. Their Facebook can be found here.
- La Santa Club Cartagena: This place can be found on Calle Larga 25 8B – 90. They are open every night except Monday from 7 MP to 4 AM. Their Facebook can be found here.
- Discoteca Babar: This place can be found on Calle San Juan de Dios #3 – 37. They are open from Thursday to Sunday from 8 PM to 3:45 AM. Their Facebook can be found here.
- Taboo Disco Club: This place can be found in Calle 24 #10 – 55. They are open every night from 8 PM to 4 AM. Their Facebook is here.
EDM Venues in Cali
If you are going to Cali, you might think that you will only be dancing salsa. And given how difficult salsa can be, I don’t blame you if you don’t want to learn how to dance to it.
Fortunately, there are several EDM venues in Cali worth visiting. Try out the following:
- Sonido Central: This place can be found on Calle 12 #3-60. They are open from 10 PM to 4 AM. Their Facebook can be found here.
- Elíptica Club: This place can be found on Carrera 38 #9a – 7. They are supposedly open 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday. Their Facebook is here and their Twitter is here.
EDM Venue in Pereira
Given that Pereira is smaller compared to other Colombian cities, there are not as many EDM venues in this city as some of the other ones mentioned.
However, there is one big place that apparently is quite popular and one of the better clubs in Colombia overall.
This place is called Garden Underground Club. It is supposedly located on Calle 19 Bis Entre Carrera 10 & 11. It is not clear when they are open but their Facebook can be found here. Their phone number supposedly is + 57 316 7160431.
The 10 Major EDM Festivals of Colombia
If you are going to enjoy EDM music in Colombia, it’s best that you go to some of the main EDM festivals that this country has to offer.
There you will see tons of Colombia women that you can dance with and perhaps even enjoy a more intimate night with alone. 😉
And if you want to enjoy any of these events, make sure to check out tickets for them online ahead of time.
So what are the main EDM festivals of Colombia?
Festival 1: Baum Festival
This is one of the best EDM festivals in Colombia and it is located in Bogota. It often lasts for around 14 hours with several dozen artists to listen to. It has thousands of people attending normally so plenty of people to meet and plenty of women to have a good time with.
In 2019, this festival was held on May 18 and has been going strong since 2015 with artists from around the world.
Festival 2: Beyond Wonderland
In 2019, this was the first time that this festival had taken place in Colombia. Similar to the Baum Festival, this one was also held in Bogota.
It occurred in early November in Parque Salitre Mágico.
Festival 3: Freedom Festival
This is a major EDM festival that is held in Medellin. It typically lasts about 15 hours near Plaza Mayor.
Now this event was held recently in Medellin in 2019 by around early February. It also has plenty of DJs from around the world.
And naturally plenty of sexy Paisa women as well to meet up with. 😉
Festival 4: Storyland
This is another EDM festival that is held in Santa Marta. What a better place to listen to EDM music than near all the beautiful beaches of the Colombian Caribbean Coast. 😉
This event is typically held in early January so it’s also a nice way to start the New Year. Make sure to show up so you too can enjoy the New Year with EDM music, nice beaches and sexy Colombian women.
Festival 5: Resistance
If you happen to be in the City of Eternal Spring, you can catch this EDM festival around October.
Given that it is held in Medellin, there will be plenty of sexy paisa women in general for you to meet as you enjoy the great music at this event.
Festival 6: Sónar Bogotá
This is another EDM music event held in Bogota. Makes you think Bogota would be an ideal place to experience EDM music and meet sexy Colombian women at the same time. 😉
Now this event is typically held in mid July from what I have seen. It lasted 3 days in July with more than 40 artists playing there. You can check out their Twitter account here for more information.
Festival 7: The Zoo Festival
Held in Cali, The Zoo Festival is the strongest EDM event I have heard of in Cali. It typically lasts for about 14 hours and was recently held in November.

Festival 8: Estéreo Picnic
Held in the capital city of Colombia, Bogota, this event usually has plenty of people to dance and enjoy the event with.
It is usually held around March or early April and also mixes in other types of music like alternative rock for example.
Festival 9: Radikal Styles Festival
This is another EDM event held in Bogota. It is typically held near Halloween time in the end of October with plenty of artists to entertain you.

Festival 10: ElRow Festival
This is an international festival that started in Barcelona, Spain. It has been held around the world in places like the US, China, Australia and more.
In 2018, it was also held in Bogota, Colombia around March 3rd in the Chamorro City Hall. It has also been held in Medellin and Cartagena and plans have been made for it to be held again in Colombia in the future.
So similar to all the other EDM festivals on this list, make sure to do your own research ahead of time to know if and exactly when it might be planned again in the future.
That way you have the best chance of showing up and maybe even dancing with a few cute Colombian chicks while at one of these many events.

But now what are some of the main things you need to know before you go to one of these venues or events to get laid?
Let’s cover the fundamentals now!
Tip 1: Bring a Friend or Two
When it comes to trying to get laid from an EDM event, it’s always better to have a friend come with you. This can be someone that is also trying to find a nice girl also.
It overall helps because you always have to socialize with and also work with you towards the same goal of meeting cute Colombian chicks at these events
Tip 2: Only Arrive if You Are Young Enough
The reality is that going to an EDM event or venue is really only suitable for younger people in my experience.
The usual age range of people going to these things is about 18 to 24 apparently. But anything older than 35 and you will be a bit too old. Now if you are 40 but can pass for younger than 35, you’ll still be OK at an event or venue like this. But don’t try getting laid from one of these events if you look obviously older than 35.
Tip 3: Consider the Crowd Size when Approaching
If you go to a bar or a club that has EDM music but not too many people, you want to be careful in how many people you approach.
Here’s the thing you have to remember – the staff and security at EDM venues tend to frown upon the idea of people going here to get laid.
It’s suppose to be a place that is “judgment free” and where people have a good time.
Not a place where people aspiring to be pick up artists can get a dozen phone numbers.
So if the place you are it is not too well populated, just be happy with a number or maybe two numbers.
If you are going to a festival that has thousands of people, then you can more safely get a few more numbers than just 1 or 2. However, something else needs to be said along with that…
Tip 4: Don’t Spam Approach
It has been said online that certain cities in the world, such as some in Europe, have been ruined by lonely men spam approaching every girl they see into oblivion.
Don’t do that when at a EDM event or venue.
There are several reasons for this.
First, you are more likely to get your ass kicked or tossed out of the event or venue if enough people notice and complain.
Again, these events and venues are not supposed to be for getting laid
Though that won’t stop some of us from trying!
Just don’t be too obvious about it. You will hurt your chances.
And even if you don’t get your ass kicked or tossed out by security, you can still become a social outcast if you just spam approach people
Which, we will cover soon enough how you should be approaching girls here
And no, it doesn’t involve walking up to random chicks that didn’t give you any interest and saying….
“Hi, my name is Mark and I saw you from over there and thought you looked cute. Are you French?”
But anyway, being the social outcast will hurt your chances greatly. Both men and women will avoid you when it’s obvious you are trying to imitate a pick up artist.
Second, if enough of you were to go to EDM events and just spam approach, you’d be working hard to basically do two things if enough of you did this
Where first you would be killing the overall vibe and atmosphere of a lot of these events
And second, you will be raising women’s defenses up quite a bit and making them much more hesitant to just having fun and interacting with new people
So not only does spam approaching not work here but it makes things worse for everybody
Tip 5: Have the Right Mindset during Approach
A common mistake that some guys have when they go to approach women in any public place is this feeling of “I must approach at least 100 women and get at least x amount of numbers.”
When that kind of mindset really screws you over a little bit when doing approaches anywhere
It puts a lot of pressure on you to just approach any chick regardless of if she even seems into you
And top of that, that mindset creates a feeling of stress where you just have to do approach a certain amount in a certain amount of time basically
So do you really think that under those constraints and the feelings those constraints cause is going to make you seem like a likeable guy that a girl wants to give her number to?
Nothing wrong with approaching girls in public in general – it’s a great way to meet people and get laid!
But I don’t like the idea of just going to places like EDM venues or festivals and having this feeling of “I have to approach a lot”
Because ultimately it doesn’t put you in the right mindset or feeling and so you don’t come across as likeable otherwise
In the worst case scenario, you will come across as creepy to the chick you are talking to
On top of it all, you probably won’t even be enjoying yourself in the moment
And if you spend the amount of money to go to an EDM festival, don’t you at least want to enjoy the moment?
So when going to an EDM festival or venue, don’t go if you don’t at least like the music itself by at least a little bit
It’ll probably not be that enjoyable of an experience otherwise
And don’t go there with the mindset of “I need to get least x amount of numbers!”
Just chill and enjoy yourself. Go to enjoy the event with a friend and if you happen to set a cute girl or two you like, interact with them
And see where the interaction goes without any feeling that you have to get her number
So as the interaction goes about very naturally and smoothly, you will be in the right mindset and come across as more authentic and likeable
And ultimately have a better chance of getting her number
But you know what will happen if she doesn’t give you her number?
No big deal – because you didn’t start the interaction with the feeling that you have to have it
She is just one girl out of thousands at the event and it doesn’t matter.
So by having that abundance mindset without the internal feeling of having to spam approach a bunch of chicks or get a certain amount of numbers will help you overall
Help you enjoy the event more, come across as more authentic and have better experiences with the women here overall
Tip 6: Enjoy the Atmosphere
Going from the last point, you will find it much easier to get women in EDM events if you let the energy from the atmosphere of the event influence how you behave
Simply enjoy the event for what it is and get into dancing to the music
Let yourself go crazy and enjoy it – you will overall become a more fun person during the event and that kind of positivity and adventurous vibe you carry will be more attractive to the women at these events
And when you behave like that, you can interact with the women here and they will find you more attractive and dance with you
Which in turn will make it more likely you two have a good time overall and that some of them give you their phone number
Tip 7: Just Do It
When wondering how you could get a woman to dance with you at these events, don’t worry about it
As said before much earlier in this article, even a lifeless corpse could get a woman to dance with him at one of these events
It’s all about being spontaneous and enjoying the event for what it is and the music it brings to it
So if you see a woman you like, just go up and dance with her and enjoy the moment overall
Don’t ask – just do it
Now that doesn’t mean go be very sexual with her and dance in a sexual way obviously
Just dancing in general and letting things escalate from there naturally
Maybe you two dance well together and she likes your vibe overall
You take it from there and then maybe things even escalate physically where you feel comfortable and confident enough to go for the kiss
And perhaps you two make out but then go back to dancing and repeat
Keep in mind that even making out with chicks at EDM festivals is quite easy. Most of them allow themselves to get a bit crazier and to enjoy the moment overall.
That sort of physical escalation is easy enough but you have to be confident enough in this type of environment to get it started
By going up to a woman you like and just begin dancing and enjoying the moment
So with all of that said, the best advice here is to go to an EDM event to simply let loose and enjoy the music in its moment for what it is. And if you happen to get a number or two that leads to you getting laid, great! If not, doesn’t matter. Always more fish in the sea but you at least enjoyed the moment.
Tip 8: Go with the Music
When you have a fast paced song going on, it’s usually better to just keep dancing and getting crazy with a woman in that way
But after a while of dancing and getting to know each other, a slower song will come on eventually
In my experience, slower songs tend to be better for you two making out in general
And when the music goes faster, go back to dancing
By enjoying the music and going along with the rhythm of it, you will be more enjoyable to dance with for the girl and probably get to dance with her longer
And in short, maybe get her number ideally
Tip 9: Back to Your Place?
In my experience, girls at bars or clubs are much more likely to agree to go back to your place sometime during the night
It’s not a guarantee obviously but it’s more likely than girls at a festival
In part because festivals go on for so long and she spent decent money to get to the festival and get inside to enjoy the event itself
Not necessarily hookup with a stranger
So at bars or nightlife venues, it’s more normal to ask to bring her back to your place
For festivals, it’s better to simply get the contact information with a few girls and make plans later
And even for bars or nightlife venues, one could argue that it’d be better to get numbers and make plans for later. That way you’re being more efficient with your time
And using that time to meet more women and collect more numbers during the night at other venues perhaps while enjoying yourself
Tip 10: Careful on Consumption
Keep in mind that there are plenty of people who consume drugs while at some of these events. Obviously if you want to meet women and perhaps get their numbers, being on ecstasy won’t help you very much
Now smoking a joint won’t hurt your chances but obviously overall be mindful of what you consume if you do want to leave this event or venue with having met a nice girl or two
Tip 11: Think Long Term
Keep in mind also that it’d be better to use these events for meeting nice girls in the long term than just trying to get them back to your place for sex now in the short term
As said before in a previous point, getting these girls back to your place can either be unlikely or quite possibly not the best use of your time
But beyond that, it’d be more useful to make friends in these events that you can use to be introduced to more women down the road
So for example, you can meet a cool guy that you become friends with at a nightlife venue or festival
Or it could be a chick too
But either way, you make a friend and meet up with that person after your time at the event or venue is over
In which case you two hang out and eventually you might get invited to a party or another event where that friend is
Then that friend introduces you to more people that you meet
And some of them might even be other cute chicks that you can get along with
Now you are a person that they can trust because you are friends with whoever invited you
And you take things where you talk with these new chicks and take things further to get their numbers
Say to the new girl you met that you like her and take out your phone to give it to her
Asking her “what’s your number?” or Whatsapp
And now you got the contact number of a cute girl you probably wouldn’t have met otherwise
So in short, getting laid with chicks from EDM events or venues is more often a longer term game than just trying to get a hookup then and there by bringing a chick to your place right away
For one, as said before, the events themselves are better suited for getting a few numbers with chicks you like and making plans later
And second, you can use these events to make more normal friends that you can use to be introduced to cute chicks down the road
Tip 12: Festivals over Nightlife Venues
As you can already imagine by all the information in this document, festivals are going to be better than bars for getting girls
In large part because you are less noticeable when interacting with different women
And that allows a little more anonymity that also makes the woman even more comfortable and wild to make out and escalate physically
Though you could do that easily enough at a bar also if she liked you enough
But also you have more women to work with in general that are more spread out across a bigger distance
Which makes it easier to get more numbers than just going to a single bar anyway
Tip 13: Attire?
If you are going to a nightlife venue, obviously research ahead of time what type of attire is more appropriate.
It could be more casual clothing is fine or clothing that is a little more formal in a way
For EDM festivals, more casual clothing is more than fine. Nobody is expecting you to dress very formally to any of the ones I’ve been to. After all, you are going to be dancing for many hours and getting a bit crazy
And there might be plenty of people in the area doing drugs also and making out with girls
So it’s not exactly the most formal event anyway obviously
Tip 14: Spanish?
For EDM venues or festivals, you might wonder if you need Spanish or not.
As said much earlier in this article, Spanish really isn’t necessary to getting laid
But as I say always on my website, learning Spanish to a conversational level will open doors to more women as not everybody is going to be speaking English at these events
It’s only that it’s more likely
In large part because a good deal of them are based in bigger and more developed cities like Bogota or Medellin
Where you got plenty of people that speak a decent enough English anyway
So even though knowing some Spanish to a conversational level would improve your chances of getting laid at an event like this in Medellin or Bogota, you’ll be OK for the most part
Now if you were going to one of these events in a less touristy city like Cali or Barranquilla, then speaking Spanish to a conversational level would be a little more important
But again, these events do attract enough girls interested in foreigners so there’s still going to be an OK amount of women that speak enough English
Though regardless of where the event is, if you can, always try to learn some Spanish. The more you have, the better your chances
Tip 15: Do you Live in Colombia?
If a girl is really interested in you, she might be asking what are you doing in Colombia
In my experience, it’s always better to say that you live in Colombia
Though in my case, that is what I am actually doing!
But it helps overall to say that because it makes you seem like a more serious guy that she can actually have a chance of meeting later and developing something with
Not to say that there aren’t women that would still hookup with you even if you were leaving tomorrow
But overall women do prefer men that are or have been staying in the area longer term
Simply because it is more likely you two would actually have a chance of knowing each other more and going on dates
Otherwise, if you were leaving tomorrow, she might think it’s less likely you two will even really know each other well anyway
And on top of that, by saying you live in Colombia, you come across as more interesting because then she will wonder why a foreigner like you is living in Colombia
Tip 16: Not Too Much Talking
At these type of events, it can be quite difficult to hear what someone is saying – especially if your hearing is sometimes bad like mine
As said before, much of these events are based around just dancing and enjoying the music
None of these chicks are here to engage in boring small talk with a stranger. So keep that out.
So what you should do is keep any conversations to a minimum and rely more on body language, dancing and physical intimacy to escalate with a woman
And when you feel ready enough, asking her phone number is best done by simply taking out your phone with it ready for her to either give you her phone number for Whatsapp or her Instagram
Either one is fine. If she says she isn’t comfortable enough to give that out, just say something along the lines to you liking her vibe and want to stay in touch. If she isn’t down for it, no big deal. Just accept that answer and move on.
Always more women to meet. And in all honestly, if she has gotten to the point of making out with you and if there is a lot of physical escalation already, then it’s much more likely you will get some contact information.
Almost all of the women that I escalated with at these venues would give the contact info up without any problem after reaching a certain point of physical escalation.
But never sweat it if they do or don’t. Enjoy the moment for what it is and move on.
Tip 17: Lead the Interaction
One mistake guys might make with my previous tips on just letting yourself go and enjoying the moment is that some of you might also forget to lead the interaction with a woman
You might end up there just dancing away without also escalating things or even asking for the number quick enough
Just because you are enjoying the moment doesn’t mean you should forget to lead the interaction with a woman for the purpose of getting her contact info for a later date
Because by the second you decide to start dancing with a woman, you are leading the interaction in a way by taking that initiative to start dancing with her
Unless she decided to dance with you first, it wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t initiate things
So always remember to initiate everything you can from dancing with her to physically escalating to asking her contact info
And the following tip I am about to give is another thing you can do to lead the interaction…
Tip 18: Take Her Out for a Smoke or Drink
If you want to have a quick moment with a chick where you two relax for a bit, asking her if she wants to smoke real quick can help
Again, this is where you lead the interaction by taking her for a quick smoke of a joint or even a quick drink
Either one works and involves you to lead the interaction
Most likely she will say yes if you two have danced already
It can be a great way to slow things down for a second and get into a position where you two can start making out if you two haven’t already
And also this can be a great time to get contact information because you two aren’t focused on dancing
While also you are not asking her to stop dancing completely to put down contact info
So having her give it out when you two take it more slowly is much better overall
Then when the next great song comes up, you two can get back to dancing again
Tip 19: Get Her Number Early On
When dealing with women at these events, keep in mind that it is very easy for her to disappear
In large part because there will be thousands of people at a festival and she just gets mixed up in the crowd just like that
So when going for the contact information, go for it early enough
Don’t think you have to spend 2 hours dancing with a chick for the possibility you will get her number
Because she might still say no (though not likely) after two hours or she might get lost in the crowd (more likely)
And also, a girl giving you her number isn’t much. It’s just a number and it doesn’t require much commitment on her part
It could be based on you saying that you’d like to meet up sometime later and that’s it. No big deal.
So a lot of women in my experience don’t usually mind giving out a number as she likes you overall
And that means she could give it out in the first 5 to 10 minutes even of dancing or making out
Therefore, just go for it and get the number quickly enough. It’s also more time efficient because you can use the time you have after to either keep dancing with her or finding someone else afterwards
Tip 20: This Advice Can Be Applied Elsewhere
Much of this advice could be applied to EDM venues or festivals outside of Colombia
So you don’t have to apply it only in places in Colombia. If you happen to be at one of these events somewhere else, make sure to apply it
Your chances of getting laid in the long term will be much better

Overall, I hope this long guide will help you in getting laid in Colombia
As said before, not many foreigners actually apply this to when they are in Colombia. Most of them just go to very touristy spots, gringo bars or using Tinder or Colombian Cupid to get laid with women down here
Using this advice will take your game beyond that and open your doors to getting laid from other avenues also
