- The Gringo Advantage with Colombian Women
Over the years, plenty of foreigners have gone to Colombia in hopes of exploiting the gringo advantage with Colombian women that people have written about
And what is the gringo advantage with Colombian women?
It’s basically the idea that foreigners (gringos) have an advantage here for being a foreigner from another country and for being white
And while I believe that it is overemphasized at times, I have seen the gringo advantage with Colombian women work in real time before
For example….
One night on a weekend, I was walking down a street with a Colombian friend as we were going to a local store that we could drink at in Cartagena
When we arrived, I saw this cute Venezuelan girl drinking by herself at a table
She was a bit curvy with a great body, medium brown skin with long black hair
As we were standing in line to order some beer, I caught her looking at me pretty intensely
Once I ordered my beer and had it with me, I walk over to her to strike up a conversation
Very quickly, I could tell that she was very much into me and we had a great time talking
My friend walked on over, we sat down with her and later I got her number and met up later for some fun
In moments like these, I’ll sometimes wonder how much of an advantage I get for “being a gringo” or a white foreigner in Colombia when it comes to women
In this case, I suppose you can say with Venezuelan women instead of Colombian
But either way, it’s an interesting question that others have wondered as well
And I believe that first you have to separate the two for a second – the aspect of being white in Colombia and the aspect of being a foreigner
So here are my real thoughts on how being a foreigner plays out with Colombian women from my own experience living here
Being White while Dating in Colombia
In general, I would say that being white has more advantages when it comes to dating in Colombia
However, it greatly depends on the area like anything else in this country
For example, being white isn’t that important in a city like Bogota for example where plenty of girls are white looking there
So in my experience, there isn’t a notable advantage to being white there than in some other cities
In places like Cali or Barranquilla, I would say from experience that women tend to respond with much more interest in white guys in either city than in the rest of the country
In most of Colombia, it is fair to say that being white has advantages in general when it comes to dating and how women perceive you
And in Cali or Barranquilla, I noticed that those two cities tended to be the two places where being white had the most notable impact on how interested women were in me
Having said all of that, I don’t want to overemphasize this issue too much
Because it isn’t like that just being white is going to get you laid in any part of this country
It isn’t
Because if you don’t work on improving yourself – when it comes to Spanish for example, then you are not as likely to get laid here
It’s simple as that
The women are much less likely to approach you here as things are more traditional and they expect the man to approach and initiate the conversation
Even if you are white, how are you getting laid if you can’t even speak some Spanish to the girls here?
Second, if everything else in your life is not ideal – such as having a bad personality, having a poor body with no muscle, having trouble with money, etc – then you are less likely to get laid in Colombia
On top of all of that, if you have no or limited experience with women, again you are less likely to get laid
Because being white in of itself does give you bonus points with the women here but that’s all it is – soe extra bonus points
You still have to offer something beyond just being white – such as being a man who is confident, knows how to approach women, knows Spanish, has some muscle, has a decent income, etc
Oddly enough, I have read online reports by men who claim that there is even a “white god factor” here where white men are treated like royalty with the women and that pussy is just falling from the sky because you are white
None of that is true
And in my experience, it has never been true in Colombia
As said, you have to bring something else to the table
Being a Foreigner in Colombia
This is a separate issue that has a lot of the same points that I made in under the previous headline but with some differences
First, being a foreigner is obviously rarer than being a white person in Colombia given that there are plenty of white Colombians in certain parts of the country
Second, being a foreigner in Colombia, I have noticed people assume that I simply have lots of money even though I haven’t always had a good income
Because of that stereotype, women here are also likely to believe it as well and so that is a positive factor that would help you with the women
Third, being a foreigner has a more interesting effect that varies across the country
For example, in large cities like Barranquilla, Cali, Pereira, Manizales and more – the women tend to be very receptive to foreigners in general and are very easy to have sex with in general
Next, there are smaller cities in Colombia where the women are a little more conservative and will not have sex as quickly or easily as in the cities just mentioned but they are still very interested in foreigners
In large part because they don’t get a lot of foreigners anyway
Cities like that include Popayán, Yopal, Riohacha, Sincelejo, Villavicencio and more
And similar to what was said before in under the last headline – being a foreigner here is not going to get you laid in of itself. All of the same points made on this topic under the last headline apply here in that you have to bring something else to the table. Being a foreigner is generally a bonus point but nothing more.
Finally, there are cities in Colombia where being a foreigner is a “cool” thing but its impact on your desirability is prettyminimal compared to other Colombian cities
For example, the women are generally less impressed in more touristy cities like Bogota or Cartagena
And in Medellin, being a foreigner actually has a more negative impact on your desirability as there is an association between being a foreigner and being a sex tourist in Medellin given how many sex tourists have gone there over the years
Improve Yourself
In the end, being the “white foreigner” in Colombia is not going to do it for you
If you are having trouble with women in your own country, then you have less of a chance of having success here in Colombia when it comes to getting laid
In large part because you can’t just move to another country to make yourself desirable – what a woman finds desirable in a man – at the root core of it: masculinity – is the same in any country
It doesn’t change just because you flew into another country like Colombia with Avianca Airlines
And on top of that, you are in a worse scenario because you are now speaking in a foreign language that is not your own in a culture you do not understand in a unfamiliar city in a different country
Put that all together and the quality of the women you get will be low here (if you get any at all) if you are only hoping that being a “white foreigner” will do it for you
It won’t
You have to improve yourself first to have success anywhere – including here
As said before – get more confidence, improve your body, learn Spanish, learn about Colombian women and how to approach and deal with women in general
All of that will do much more for you and help you have success with women in your own country and also the beautiful women in Colombia as well
If you focus on self-improvement, then you can enjoy the extra bonus that being a “white foreigner” gives you in Colombia as then more sexy Colombian women will value you after you focus on self-improvement
That’s my take on the issue anyway on the gringo advantage with Colombian women
