- How Effective is Tinder in Colombia?
Another Friday night and I had found myself swiping away on Tinder in Colombia some years ago when I was single
Going from Alexia to Gaby to Alma to Paulina….
So many beautiful women using Tinder in Colombia these days
And the thing is – plenty of people who have never been to Colombia always ask…
Does Tinder exist in Colombia?
Of course it does!
But that’s not exactly the necessary question is it?
Better to ask – does it work in Colombia?
Are there actually a lot of Colombian women actually use Tinder?
Are they even attractive on average?
And how do you get their number and how often are they down to have sex?
More often than not, those asking these questions are usually younger folk in their early to mid 20s when they are thinking of taking a trip to Colombia
So here’s my experience with Tinder in Colombia briefly explained:
First: Plenty of Women
It is true that Tinder does exist in Colombia and there are plenty of women using it
Of course, your luck with it will vary depending on the city you are in
For example, there are not as many women using it outside the major cities, which includes: Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena, Barranquilla, Cúcuta, Bucaramanga and Cali
Now, that isn’t to say that you can’t find sexy Colombian women using Tinder in smaller cities like Manizales or Santa Marta
It’s just going to be less than ideal
Another thing is that you are not only going to find Colombian women
In some cities, like Bogota or Cartagena, you have a lot more sexy Latina women from other countries as well
Most notably, Venezuela
For those who don’t know, there are plenty of Venezuelan women living in Colombia to escape the instability of their country
Most of them can be found in Bogota, Barranquilla or Cúcuta for example
Outside of hot Venezuelan girls, you also got chicks from Argentina and Panama as well in the country and plenty of them
Especially in larger cities like Bogota where you have latina chicks from really all over Latin America to be honest
It’s one of those cities in Latin America that has a little bit of everything – girls from Argentina, Venezuela, Panama, Peru, Mexico and more
And of course, if you are thinking of meeting other girls from your own country – such as the US, Canada, England or wherever you are from – there are plenty of those as well
Most notably in the larger and more touristy cities like Bogota, Medellin or Cartagena
So if you are looking for fun and sexy women to have a great night with – don’t worry!
Plenty of them
Second: Scams & Risk
Another fear that is common with using Tinder in Colombia is the fear of being scammed, kidnapped, killed or something bad happening
The reality is that none of that is likely to happen
For example, I encountered a lot more scams on Tinder in the US than in Colombia
That isn’t to say that you shouldn’t be careful as Tinder has been well known in many countries for being a place that people can get scammed
But with everything else – just apply normal caution and common sense
For example, if a girl is asking you to show up to a dangerous neighborhood (hint: always do your research about where you plan to meet her), then don’t show up
Perhaps show up with a money belt also to protect your money better when in Colombia
She wants you to send her money? Don’t send it
Simple as that – normal common sense will usually get you out of any bad situation when it comes to shady people on Tinder
And to be honest, there isn’t that many of them using tinder in Colombia
Therefore, it’s just not as big of a risk as you might think in my experience – though sometimes things do happen
Third: Age Difference
Another thing I have noticed when it comes to using Tinder in Colombia is that there are certain things I have noticed when it comes to how age works in Tinder here
For example, when I was younger at around 24 more or less, it was never difficult to meet up with a slightly older woman for something casual
In those years when I was younger in my mid 20s, occasional Colombian chicks here and there wouldn’t even ask my age and they would be in their early to mid 30s
They just didn’t care
We would simply meet up, have the date and then end the night at my place
So if you are open to having a hookup with a chick just a little bit older, which I don’t see any problem with if she still looks decent
And most do in their early 30s assuming they are not fat
Then I would say enjoy it
Just keep in mind that what I said there mostly applies to the more liberal cities in Colombia – Bogota, Medellin and Cartagena
Outside of those three cities, age becomes important in this regard and this is much less true
Additionally, I also noticed another trend when it comes with age and it again applies to mostly the more liberal cities in Colombia that were just mentioned
And what I am going to say probably matters more for the older people using Tinder – those in their late 20s to early 30s
Which is that more and more young women on Tinder – those from say 18 to 22 – are increasingly using Tinder for not sex or anything real
But instead just want more Instagram followers
Or something similar
And when you manage to go on a date with a younger chick in that age range, it’s becoming more common for her to spend too much time on her phone concerned about social media
That is something I noticed some odd years ago when I was single
It’s likely a little worse now
So while most Colombian women are not overly obsessed with social media and their phones and using guys to get followers on Instagram with Tinder….
That’s increasingly becoming more popular among just a certain amount of women in the more liberal and urbanized cities like Bogota, Medellin and Cartagena
Outside of those cities, this isn’t as much of an issue from what I have seen
And even in those cities, it’s still not as bad as what I have heard about in the US
Fourth: Casual Sex Becoming Easier
As mentioned, some parts of Colombia are becoming more liberal – like Bogota, Medellin or Cartagena
Where casual sex is becoming even easier to get than before and more are having an even more open mind when it comes to it
Before, Colombian women used to be a little more conservative in those cities – even if they were just putting on a show topretend that they were more conservative and not as easy as other girls
But that is changing a little bit and it’s increasingly becoming even easier for a single man to have his fun while in Colombia with the use of Tinder and even other online dating sites
Overall
In the end, Tinder is effective when it comes to getting laid with sexy Colombian women and even women from other countries
