- Dating Other Foreigners in Colombia
While living in Colombia, I have noticed that many times people end up dating other foreigners in Colombia
After all, sometimes it’s easier to relate to someone who has similar experiences as you do being a foreigner in a new country like Colombia
Which can make it easier also to date them and have a serious relationship also
And when it comes to hooking up, I have met different girls here from other countries who were more willing to hook up with a stranger since they were in a new place
Which meant new adventure and fun and her feeling greater desire to look for new experiences with new guys
So regardless of if you are looking for something serious or casual sex, you can do that also with other foreigners while living in Colombia
Because even though this is a website primarily dedicated to dating colombianas and latinas in general in which I wrote plenty of good articles on that subject…
I am not going to ignore the fact that numerous foreigners have ended up dating other foreigners here also
So this is a topic then that deserves attention as it may very well be a reality for you personally if you ever decide to spend significant time in Colombia
In which you may end up dating other foreigners in Colombia
What Kind of Foreigners?
When talking about other foreigners in Colombia, I often met a lot more foreign girls from other Latin American countries
As written about in a very extensive guide that I wrote for this website, there are numerous Venezuelan girls here who are open to dating foreigners
Aside from Venezuelans, you can find numerous foreign girls living in Bogota, Cartagena or Medellin specifically
Since those two cities receive so much attention from foreigners in general
In particular, I have personally met primarily girls from Argentina, Panama, Brazil and Peru while in Colombia
For example, I met a cute Argentinean girl in Bogota who was studying abroad for a semester named Deborah
She was a lot of fun to be around and very open to meeting up on numerous occasions for casual sex and just hanging out while she was here in Colombia
While a lot of people online might say that Argentine women are difficult, she definitely wasn’t
And in my experience, Argentine women outside of Argentina tend to be much easier because as they might be traveling alone and desiring some causal fun while away and alone
Outside of other Latinas, you will also notice a lot of Europeans here also.
Though I don’t know the specific numbers, I would suspect that Europeans are more common here then Americans
In my own experience, I often met more Germans and British people specifically for whatever reason
But that’s only based on my own experience
However, that is quickly changing
Back when I first lived here over a decade ago, very few Americans were visiting Colombia
Now Colombia is getting a lot more attention and the country is making great effort to promote its tourism industry
So if you are interested, you can always meet other Americans and Europeans here also
Outside Bogota, Medellin & Cartagena
Outside of Bogota, Medellin and Cartagena, you are going to find a lot less foreigners in Colombia
Those three cities tend to get most of the attention from tourism
However, there are exceptions to the rule as we will look at now….
Leticia
Leticia is a small place in Colombia where foreigners go to in order to visit the Amazon Rainforest.
While in Leticia, I noticed that it was not an ideal place for meeting local Colombian women
However, because of the amount of tourism it had for the Amazon Rainforest, it was not too difficult to meet foreign women there
In my experience, women who were adventurous enough to travel to see the Amazon Rainforest were often a bit lonelier since many of the ones I saw went alone
And often were receptive to being approached by a new guy
And in some cases even have a casual hookup with me while I was there
You can definitely have fun then while in Leticia
In my experience, there were a lot more European and other Latina women here then American or Canadian
When it comes to Latina, I saw a few Brazilian and Peruvian specifically
Which makes sense given that Leticia is very close to both Peru and Brazil also
The one thing I would recommend is to get your own room and not some hostel where you have to share a room
That way you are more likely to have a place to bring a girl to
San Andres Island
This is another very touristy area of Colombia where you will find plenty of other foreigners
It’s a well known place for enjoying a nice beach and sun with someone special
Therefore, the one downside to this place is that a lot of the foreigners that you do meet are couples
So unless she is willing to sleep around, you are going to have less luck here than you ideally would given how many women here are already with someone
However, it is not completely impossible to meet a nice woman here who is interested in meeting a new guy
My advice would be to check out some of the bars and nightlife venue in this area since there will be more single women in those parts that are looking for a guy to spend the night with
When it comes to the women, it was very similar to Leticia in that I saw quite a few European and other Latina women like some from Argentina and Mexico
However, there were more American and Canadian women here than Leticia
Perhaps because this place is more well known and has better tourism infrastructure in general
Regardless, it’s a great place to relax with a nice woman
Barranquilla’s Festival
Every year around February more or less the Colombian city of Barranquilla has a big festival
It is so popular that it brings in a lot of tourists into the area — so plenty of options for dating other foreigners in Colombia!
Now most of the tourists that you are going to see are going to be men from my experience who are looking to have fun with the local Colombian women
There will also be a lot of Colombians from other cities visiting as well
Not any many latina tourists though from other Latin American countries
However, you can often find other European and American tourists here also who are women
It’s a great festival either way that is fun and deserves a visit when it happens
Overall
When you travel to Colombia, of course you are going to want to have fun with the sexy Colombian women
However, there are plenty of opportunities for dating other foreigners in Colombia also
And trust me – some of them are worth to meeting
So travel to Colombia and have fun — just make sure to prepare yourself with a nice travel guide so you can enjoy your experience here better
