Year by year, more men are going to Colombia to have dating success with Colombian women
As I have said many times on this website, Colombian women tend to be very traditional
They dress more feminine
They take care of their appearance and body much better
It is very common that they will cook you a nice meal or even clean your room sometimes after sex
They believe in gender roles much more than American women and don’t try to act masculine or like men ever
However, having said all of that, I don’t want anyone reading my articles to think that Colombian women are some special type of women
That you can just put them on a pedestal and worship them for being more feminine
Because the reality is that a lot of men have unrealistic expectations regarding Colombian women
They become jaded from their experience with American women and become starving for the chance of meeting any woman out there who is actually feminine
And when they are told that Colombian women are very feminine, they just think “wow! They are the best! There are no flaws with them. They are not like other women.”
But they are like that
One of the main reasons why Colombian women are more feminine than American women is that the culture is more traditional and conservative itself
If you change the culture, you change the women that the culture influences
So if Colombian culture were to become like American culture, then you would lose most of the traditional and feminine women you have in this country
And on top of that, there are just certain characteristics that are true about most women regardless of the country you are talking about
For example, women prefer masculine men
Or that women prefer men who have muscle and take care of their body, who also earn good money, who are socially intelligent and more
That doesn’t change by the country you are in
And you have to understand that to have dating success with Colombian women
So having said that, Colombian women will naturally act accordingly to find the right guy that can provide the most of everything she finds attractive in a man
The highest quality man that she can get
So if you thought that all Colombian women are innocent and they are only sweet and feminine and would never harm a butterfly, here’s a quick story to pop that fantasy:
Way back when I was spending more significant time in Pereira, Colombia about 4 years ago more or less, I became friends with this chick named Valeria.
Now Valeria and I had the occasional casual hookup here and there but I was honest with her that I didn’t want anything serious with her
In large part because I just wasn’t interested in having a serious relationship yet in that moment because I hadn’t found anyone who I liked enough yet
Which, as a side note, that changed quickly about a few weeks to maybe a month after this story happened because then I met a girl named Luciana that I ended up dating
And that’s a side point when it comes to dating success with Colombian women– never settle down with a chick who is low quality and not when you are not ready to settle down
But back to the story…
So anyway one night Valeria and I go drinking
We weren’t having anything casual anymore because she was dating this guy named Martin
Martin was a white Colombian with black hair, skinny with glasses and about a little over 6 feet tall
He was also studying Spanish literature at some university and was still living with his parents
While Valeria had a good job and was living by herself and making good money
So anyway, Valeria and I go for a few beers just to hang out because we liked each other’s company
And that’s when she confessed something – she cheated on Martin with some guy
The story she gave me….
Was that she was at a local mall in Pereira when this Colombian guy opened up on her
She described this guy was very attractive and knew what to say to her
So they exchanged numbers and they met up later “just to hang out”
Well, hanging out at café turned very quickly into spreading her legs for another man
And during this time that she told me that she cheated on Martin with some guy she had a date with at a café, she showed me her Whatsapp messages
Where she explained that she feels guilty about it
And how she lied to Martin that afternoon where she showed me that she told him that she was working during those hours that she had sex with someone else
And you know what was interesting to read in her Whatsapp conversation with Martin? That she told him “I love you” or “Te amo” in Spanish
I asked her out of curiosity if she told him that in person since the moment she cheated on him and she said yes when they last saw each other in the afternoon before we met up for drinks
So she cheated on him with another man
Another man that was able to excite her and she was still able to look him in the eyes and say “I love you” as if nothing happened
Where did our idea of the sweet and innocent Colombian woman go, huh?
Well, anyway, she said how she was very confused
She liked Martin but there was just something about him….
What could it be? I asked her
Well, he’s a nice guy, great personality and is very tall as well
But, he’s not “husband material”
“hmmmmm” I thought
“Not husband material in what way? He chases other women?” I asked her
“Noooo” she said
The reality is that she was more physically attracted to the guy that she ended up cheating with
In all my time with her, I knew she always saw Martin as a little bit of a “dork”
A nice guy but someone who just wasn’t very masculine – he wasn’t very confident, had no muscle and didn’t know how to carry himself in a conversation
On top of it all, he was never likely to make more money than she was studying Spanish literature while she made good money with her solid career.
And a man making less money than you is less attractive to most women I know
Put it all together, Martin was “not husband material”
And I said it to her – asked if those were the reasons minus the part about him not ever going to make more money than her
And she said “yeah” and then added the bit about him studying Spanish literature and never having the possibility to be the breadwinner in their relationship
Plus she mentioned how he still lives with his parents while she doesn’t, which she felt was unattractive
Furthermore, she added how she didn’t like that she was just a little bit taller than him
Therefore, what did she see in him initially?
Well, she felt that perhaps he would be a good option to settle down with – someone who would be faithful mostly.
Who wasn’t a player.
But, in the end, it didn’t work out and she admitted to him that she cheated because of how bad she felt
Final Thoughts
In the end, women in every country often value the same things in men – masculinity, the ability to provide, good looks, confidence, social intelligence and more
And so even though the women in Colombia absolutely are more feminine than the women in the US, that doesn’t mean that the fundamental basics of what women value in a man are different in Colombia
Nor does it mean that you don’t have women who cheat here or women who are low quality
Both of which exist in this country also
All of which you have to understand to have dating success with Colombian women
And for those guys out there who think that you can just come to Colombia as a foreigner and your value as a foreigner will get you and keep a high quality woman
You are wrong
You will very well end up like Martin did if you think it’s just one thing like being a foreigner that will get you a high quality woman
Martin thought that being a nice guy would get him a high quality woman and foreign men sometimes think that being a foreign guy will get them a high quality woman
Both are dead wrong and ultimately get burned time and time again by low quality woman
Sure, being a foreigner is generally a bonus in Colombia
But you have to bring much more to the table to get and keep a high quality feminine woman in Colombia
No, you don’t have to be Mr. Perfect
And the feminine beautiful women in Colombia understand that better than the women in the US
You can and do have flaws like any man
But you have to bring more to the table and focus on self improvement to get high quality women anywhere, including Colombia
That means learning Spanish, working out, maintaining your health, gaining confidence, knowing how to speak to women, knowing how to have a conversation in general, improving your income and more
And for learning Spanish, that can be done by using a recommended textbook or perhaps even a phrasebook for dating in Spanish that I also recommend

Above all, if you can improve yourself in certain ways, you absolutely can avoid what happened to Martin and get a high quality feminine woman in Colombia
There are many of them that they are not hard to find
However, you have to give them a reason to consider you as a high quality man
Therefore, when you do that, you can and will have dating success with Colombian women
