- 15 Tips to be Successful Dating Colombian Women
Over the years traveling throughout Colombia, I have met plenty of guys interested in trying to be more successful dating Colombian women for the purpose of finding someone to settle down with
On the other hand, I have also met guys who have traveled to Colombia for their first time thinking that the women here are extremely easy
So easy that all you had to do was show up and sexy women would be chasing after you begging for sex
Well, the reality is….
That is not the case
Don’t get me wrong
It’s not difficult to get laid here in Colombia and the women are more sexually comfortable than most other countries in Latin America
So while it can be fairly easy to get laid in Colombia, do not think that women here are going to be dying to sleep with youjust because you are a foreigner from the US or some other richer country
The thing is that men who travel to Colombia thinking that are usually men who have a difficult time with women from theirown country
And if the women from your own country are difficult, Colombian women are going to be more difficult — regardless of if you are looking for casual sex or something serious
As you are most likely speaking in a language that is not your native language
Perhaps with great difficulty
In a completely different culture in a new country that you are unfamiliar with
So I don’t encourage anyone to travel to Colombia if they think that women are just going to fall from the sky and through your roof into your bedroom because you showed up here
Having said all that, there are things you need to know so you can be more successful with Colombian women.
And some of the advice I am going to give could also be applied to women from other countries
Because even though there is a cultural difference between Colombia and the US for example…
Women all over the world tend to have common tendencies in which some of these tips could be applied elsewhere also
So what tips do I have to be more successful dating Colombian women?
Well, let’s start
Tip 1: Learn Spanish
Take a time to read any of my city reviews.
In each city review, I have a section called“Spanish?”
Why do I have that?
Because in some Colombian cities you can find just enough women who speak English while other Colombian cities have practically no English speakers
So right away, not speaking Spanish is going to limit your experience with quite a bit of Colombia’s cities and the womenliving there
Even in cities where a decent amount of people speak some English, most won’t
Therefore, you are greatly limiting your options for who you can date in Colombia
If you don’t speak Spanish, some of your more common options are going to be “gringo hunters,” prostitutes or girls who speak English and think they are amazing for doing so
None of those being a good option for dating
Especially when compared to all the chicks you are missing out on for not speaking Spanish
So make sure to learn Spanish well with either a textbook I recommend or a phrasebook for dating in Spanish. Also, if you really need it, a translator can help you date Colombian women also.

Tip 2: Learn to Dance
Now this isn’t necessary to have success with Colombian women
Except, arguably, in the city of Cali where dancing is much more important
However, it will be impressive to her if a complete foreigner can even dance basic steps to some typical Latin music
Similar to how a lot of Colombian chicks think that foreigners don’t speak Spanish and will be impressed if you do speak Spanish
Many think you wouldn’t know how to dance to their music and would be impressed if you can even do a little bit of dancing
You don’t have to be expert at it
Just have the basics down and the confidence to dance with her at a bar or wherever else
Which, in the end, will give you greater success with Colombian women as I wrote about in greater detail in this article
Tip 3: Avoid Stereotypes
When trying to have a conversation with a Colombian chick on the first date, you should obviously try to avoid talking about any of the things Colombia is most well known for
Mainly being cocaine trafficking, violence and Pablo Escobar
Most Colombian chicks I have met do not appreciate having that thrown in at a conversation
And will are usually tired of explaining that there is more to Colombia than those things
Tip 4: Don’t Travel to Colombia for Just the Women
In my years living here, I have met the occasional foreigner who traveled to Colombia just for having sex with women he was told were extremely beautiful
If you do that, you are setting the expectations way too high regarding your experience with the women here
Think about it
You are spending over $1,000 just to hopefully have sex with women in which the sex isn’t a guarantee and you could end up going home with nothing
I actually met a guy like that!
Who traveled from Canada to Medellin in hopes he would get laid and did not once with a normal girl
And from what he told me, he supposedly had to find a prostitute in the end of his trip so he could go home having slept with at least one Colombian woman
He didn’t seem happy about his experience and ended up calling Colombian women sluts and other things
So obviously he had high expectations for his trip and it didn’t work out
In addition, I imagine traveling to a completely different country just to sleep with women is likely putting too much pressure on the individual to find someone to sleep with
In which you will end up bending over backwards and coming across as desperate to find someone to sleep with
Instead, have other reasons to visit Colombia – such as getting to enjoy a new country, practice your Spanish or see some of the main touristy sights here
If you do that, sleeping with women won’t be such a high priority and you can more likely relax when talking with women here
You won’t come across as desperate and that will help you be liked more by the women here
Tip 5: Don’t Put Women on a Pedestal
This tip could really be applied to women in any part of the world
Including in Colombia if you want to be successful dating Colombian women
And it goes well with the previous tip about having other reasons to travel to Colombia and not being desperate to sleep withColombian women
If you are desperate, you are more likely to put any Colombian chick on a pedestal.
The reality is Colombian women are just normal women who happened to be born in Colombia
Nothing more
If you come here thinking “Colombian women are the most beautiful in the whole world and I will do whatever it takes to sleep with them”
You are basically putting them on a pedestal and having this exaggerated expectation of what they are like physically
Are the women here beautiful? Yes
Though not all are and coming here with the mindset that they are the bet and you have to sleep with them will cause you to do really stupid things to impress the women here
Which, in the end, makes them not respect you as much and less likely to have any fun with them
Tip 6: Research Colombia
Before going to Colombia, you should research where in the country you want to go.
There are many things to consider
First, do you want to meet a chick who is more conservative and would be better for a serious relationship?
Or do you want a bunch of chicks for casual fun?
There are Colombian cities that are better for the first and other Colombian cities that are better for the second
Additionally, are you more attracted white, brown or black chicks?
Some Colombian cities will have more of one than the other
Some have a good combination of all 3
So you should probably research that if you think that is important for you
And these are just a few of the issues you might want to research
In short, you are going to have more success if you choose the right city that has the right type of women you want in your life
Not all of Colombia is the same and each part will offer you something different
Tip 7: Overcome the Suspicion
In my experience living in Colombia, there are some people who consider all foreigners to be basically just sex tourists.
Even though that’s not true, that stereotype is common especially among Colombians who live in Medellin
You would do well to make it clear that you are not in Colombia for just the women
Even if that is the case for you specifically
Because women will look down on you if they think you traveled to another country and spent all that money just to have sex with someone
It’s not a good look and most chicks would consider you to be a loser
Which, in my opinion, traveling just for sex, as said before, is not a smart decision
But regardless of your intentions, showing a genuine interest in the country itself and its culture will help eliminate hersuspicion that you are like that
Which will make her feel more comfortable with you and like you more overall
Tip 8: Know How to Deal With Tardiness & Flakiness
In Colombia, you are going to notice that the women here tend to show up late to a date.
Some of them won’t even show up at all!
How do you deal with this?
Well, I get that you are going to think that showing up late is rude
It is
However, this always happens with Colombian women
You can try to tell her to not show up late and you won’t tolerate it
And some Colombian women will take that seriously and do a better job at showing up
Others won’t care because that’s how things are down here
So how should you deal with it?
This is what I do
If I schedule a date with a Colombian woman, it is almost always going to be near where I live within a 5 to 10 minute walking distance
I do not stop what I am doing that day just for the date until she shows up to where we are going to meet
I do not expect her to show up on time. It doesn’t happen often
Once she shows up to where the date is, she will text me by Whatsapp to tell me that she has arrived
After that, I finish what I am doing and will walk out of my apartment to go see her
Simple
If she doesn’t show up, I didn’t just waste 10 to 40 minutes traveling somewhere to go wait an additional 10 to 20 minutes because she shows up late
I save myself from losing my time to someone who won’t show up on time and avoid having to move around a large city
Now if she doesn’t show up at all for the date, just delete her number and move on unless she has a good excuse and will show up near your place the second date
And even if she has a good excuse, don’t expect her to show up. Because….
Tip 9: Have Additional Options
This is another tip that could be used anywhere in the world and would work well.
If your date simply didn’t show up, it shouldn’t be a big deal
It happens to everyone, especially in Colombia
Now let’s say you wanted to meet a nice girl on a Friday afternoon.
And you are concerned about the flakiness in this country
Just organize dates that go one after the other
So if one chick doesn’t show up, no big deal
Because you have additional options
You ideally will have scheduled another date to be set after the first one was scheduled
How much time to put in each date?
For me, I usually tried to have sex on the each date when I was more active dating
So I would usually plan each date to last 3 hours at most. In which she is gone after those 3 hours at minimum and you are ready for the next chick to show up near where you are.
By doing that, you can make it more likely you will see somebody nice any particular day you want to
In which if one flakes, you got additional options lined up
Tip 10: Get Whatsapp
This is very simple. Whatsapp is just some free app you can download on your phone. When you have it downloaded, you can text and make calls and video calls with anyone else who has it.
Every chick I have met in Colombia, except for a few, has it here
And they all use it to communicate over anything else
So you should get it if you want to maximize your success here.
Tip 11: Protect Yourself
If a girl is making herself to be too easy to have sex with and you feel something is off about her, it could be she is planningto put you in a dangerous situation
Or if a girl seems way too interested in you after having just met
And the dangerous situation?
Well, she could drug you and steal your stuff with someone else
Or she could be manipulating you to get you to send her money
Even though most chicks in Colombia are not looking to scam you, some are and you have to use common sense

So you can be more aware of the dangers and how to avoid them
Tip 12: Free Time
This is another tip that could be applied outside of Colombia to any country.
If you want to have more dating success with Colombian women, you are going to want to give yourself plenty of time to go on dates and meet them obviously.
This seems like an obvious tip but it’s not one that is always practiced.
There are plenty of men out there who simply don’t give much time to dating women and then wonder why they are not successful dating Colombian women
Would seem a bit obvious why no?
So when it comes to applying this to Colombia
It basically breaks down to this…
How long are you going to be in Colombia?
If it’s going to be for a limited trip, simply save your money and plan out your trip well where you put enough time to do things and see places that would be fun
And some time to meet women
If you are planning on living here long term, then you got plenty of time to do both.
However, if you still have to work while living down here, then ideally you can find a type of work online with your savings to give you plenty of time to meet women and have dating success down here.
In the end, having more time to meet women means more women you can meet and more dating success you can have here.
Tip 13: How to Meet Them?
Growing up in the US, I often spent time with other guys trying to meet chicks at the bar or a nightclub.
In the US, there are simply more people looking to meet others at bars or nightclubs.
In Colombia, this doesn’t happen as much
Even though I have met some Colombian chicks during the night, most are going to the bar or nightclub with their friends or partner
And are not always open to having a new person join their group
There simply isn’t as many people meeting other new people at these places as most of them are “tables and chairs.”
Not as much open space to mix into a crowd and meet a nice girl to take home with you.
So when it comes to meeting Colombian chicks before taking her on a date, you should spend most of your efforts on online game or daygame.
With online game, you are going to meet more chicks down for something casual
For daygame, more chicks who might want something serious (but plenty still who only want casual fun)
Between the two, I generally always prefer daygame because the quality of the girls is much better in my experience
So I’d recommend daygame personally most of the time in a typical Colombian city in order to be successful dating Colombian women
Tip 14: Meet at the Mall
In most Colombian cities, meeting a chick at one of the shopping malls tends to be one of the better ways to meet her on a first date
In my experience, most Colombian women tend to suggest and are more comfortable meeting at a mall for the first date as there is more security and it is more public
Additionally, there are endless amounts of cafes and some bars that you could take her to from there
So it’s not a bad starting point for meeting a Colombian woman on a date and then taking her somewhere else on the date afterwards
Tip 15: Improve Yourself
This is by far the best advice I can give you about having success dating Colombian women
And women from any country actually
This advice is better than learning Spanish
It’s better than any advice you will ever get from any dating coach online trying to charge you some crazy money like 100 or 250 USD for some online dating seminar
Not to say that you can’t get some good advice from those programs but improving yourself is by far going to be one of the best things you can do for yourself
There are 3 things that women tend to be most attracted to in a guy: looks, money and status
Of course, there are other things women care about as well – such as are you two a good match, how confident are you, do you have goals in life, etc
But, these 3 things – looks, money and status – are by far some of the more important characteristics a woman looks for
So when it comes to status – well, most Colombian women are going to assume you are of higher status for being from the US or elsewhere
Except for those who would associate you with being a sex tourist
Then you have money and looks. Both of which can be improved.
Go to the gym. Eat right. Work harder to make sure you have more money.
You will be a lot more successful dating Colombian women if you can improve those things about yourself
Furthermore, I want to add that in best practice this tip should not be done with the sole intent of having more dating success with Colombian women
You, as an individual, should be improving your looks, money and status because it helps you with everything else in life
Which, in turn, will serve as a much greater motivator to improve these aspects of your life than just doing this because ofthe possibility you might have more sex
In short, chase excellence and always look to improve yourself in life and you will be more successful dating Colombian women
