Over the years of dating in Colombia, I have encountered different types of women here — one of them being the single mom in Colombia
Similar to single moms you see in any country to be honest
In the US for example, there are plenty of single moms out there looking for a guy that can help them raise their kid
Which usually involves a relationship and a marriage at some point
However, down here, I have noticed that it is not as common for a single mom in Colombia to be looking to settle down with someone
Instead, quite a few of them seem to be looking for a guy that can just send them money
Most of the time, these guys don’t even get anything out of it – no sex, no love and not even meeting in person these chicks that they are sending money to
Now some of these guys do have sex and some real time spent with these women that do this
But it’s only guys that are actually in Colombia or planning to visit Colombia soon
Which, from my observations, is not most foreign men
Now you may ask….
How is it that these guys from other countries like the US are even meeting these chicks if they are not in Colombia?
And why would any guy send literally hundreds of dollars to some chick he barley even knows?
And unfortunately, it’s not just hundreds sometimes.
Some of the richer guys out there will send over a thousand and more
So why do they do that?
Both are good questions that need to be talked about for men thinking of enjoying life with Colombian women.
First, these men meet these chicks on the internet. Usually on some dating site or on Tinder
In fact, I have even heard of a few guys chatting with some Colombian chicks on Instagram
Who were basically just trying to get attention and post a bunch of half naughty photos
And sometimes there are guys who find women on Instagram doing that and give them attention and money
However, when it comes to this sort of thing, most of the men meet these chicks on Tinder or some online dating website
Now going onto the next question….
Why would men send lots of money to chicks they don’t even know?
What do they get out of it?
Well, a few things….
First, most of these men seem desperate for attention, interest and love from women
You see, there are a lot of guys out there who either never had much success with women in general throughout their lives
Or they were divorced badly and now looking for someone new to bring a spark to their life
Second, it’s in my experience that women tend to be good at getting sympathy from naïve men
Men who look at a nice young chick who seems sweet and innocent and just needs a little bit of help
And then there is that hope in this guy – that if he helps her out, she will be more interested in him and appreciate the help
And maybe they will have something serious in life later
Unfortunately..
It does not always work out like that.
Most of time, these chicks using online dating to find foreign men are just looking for free money
And they are not going to be giving you any love or genuine affection or anything like that
In some cases, if you are physically in Colombia, they might have sex with you if you know what you are doing
And then maybe ask for money a few days later to help out their kid
Meanwhile, this single mom in Colombia might be telling you how much they love you and need money…
While the same single mom in Colombia is talking to endless amounts of other guys online with the same story and getting that money sent through Western Union
So how do you spot and avoid these chicks?
It’s actually quite easy to be honest. These women are not that smart in their approach for money to be honest
They are just using their femininity and the possibility of love to trick (usually older) foreign men out of their money
So here’s a few tips:
- If she is asking for money for whatever reason, get rid of her immediately
- Some of the things they may ask for money will seem overly priced to begin with. Such as a chick saying she needs 500 USD to go to a beauty salon to look good for you.
- If they are being overly affectionate and even telling you things like “I love you” without you two even knowing each other in person, she’s likely to ask for money
- If she profile seems a little bit overly sexual or like she is a bit easier than the average woman, there’s a greater risk she will try to cheat you.
- Ask her a lot of questions and look for anything that is inconsistent or odd about her life story
- As a service to every other man using online dating sites, report her if she is asking for money or seems like a scam.
- Use basic common sense
More Tips…
- Does she have any goals in life? A woman who actually has some type of job or is studying is going to be less likely to ask for money than a chick who just sits at home all day
- Does she already have a kid from someone else? In my experience, this greatly increases the chance that she will ask for money. Not all single moms from Colombia are like this, but a lot of the ones using online dating are in my experience.
- Do not fall for any statement like “this is how it is in my country. Men are men and send women money.” Sometimes they will use “cultural differences” as a way to justify her asking for money (or to justify other bad behavior).
- Get as many photos from her as you can. Also, engage in video calls and voice messaging to not only develop intimacy but also to prove she is a real person. Some of these online scammers are not even women and just pretending to be so to get easy money.
- If she seems overly sexual way too quickly, it may be too good to be true. She might be just appealing to your sexual interests to get money. Where she acts all sexual online and then asks for money when you want to get to know her more.
- Ideally, you would have a burner phone for when talking to these chicks online. Some of them may harass you and it would be more inconvenient if they were harassing you on your real phone. And some of them will come back at you many months later going “hey baby.” So get a burner phone if you can.
Overall…
I have met plenty of these chicks online in Colombia trying to get money from poor guys oversees.
And sadly, scams by Colombian women is common but avoidable if you know how to spot them as described in this article I wrote
Fortunately, I have never been fooled into sending them money.
Granted, I’m not that rich anyway, so good luck getting money out of me
But I have met the occasional guy who has gotten scammed by these chicks
They normally lose around 100 to 500 bucks.
Therefore, just be careful out there with any single mom in Colombia
There are plenty of great beautiful chicks online at different dating sites
You just have to know how to protect yourself after you decide to fly into Colombia with Avianca Airlines or any other company
So when you arrive here and you meet a nice girl or two…
Hopefully you don’t lose money and you have all the time you need with some of the beautiful and genuine women here in Colombia
