One time when I went to the Coffee Triangle of Colombia, I enjoyed my experience there dating Colombian girls in Manizales with a very cute Colombian chick
We explored the Cocora Valley and other natural sights in the area.
During that experience, we stayed at a place called Mirador Finca Morrogacho
Sitting down at a table with her, we overlooked amazing scenery.
Lush green mountains as far as we can see
A bright blue sky with a shining sun
Plenty of birds and other wildlife in the area
And best of all, a very cute Colombian girl sitting in front of me who I got to spend the week with at this great place.
What more could a man want?
A sexy woman and plenty of nature to enjoy life with on a great week
It was very easy to see why there are more and more expats looking to live in Manizales and nearby cities.
With everything that it has to offer, why would any man not want to live here?
Despite that, I never saw too many foreigners here in this great city.
In a way, it could be said that Manizales and nearby city Pereira are relatively unspoiled compared to other Colombian cities like Medellin.
Beautiful women and beautiful nature
Paradise.
Welcome to Manizales
First: Basic Facts
Located within the Coffee Triangle of Colombia, this city offers everything a man could want – beautiful nature andbeautiful women.
With 500,000 people living here and a decent climate, you will notice that the city is quite nice and peaceful withouttoo much chaos or noise.
Furthermore, if you can plan your trip right, coming here by January would be best
By then, you can enjoy the Feria de Manizales
Which is the biggest Fair of Manizales
A great time for excitement and to enjoy some nice nights with the women down here
Especially as they tend to be more down for some fun during that carnival 
Second: Safety
This city is fairly safe. In my time here, I considered Manizales to be one of the safer cities I have visited in Colombia.
Although muggings and other crimes do happen, most of the crimes that I heard of in this city are mostly pick pocketing.
And I never felt this city was that dangerous when walking outside at night either.
Compared to nearby city Pereira, where I did get stolen from once and lost 30 bucks, I never came across anything too bad and nobody ever stole from me in Manizales either.
Third: Spanish?
If you visit Manizales, you are going to need Spanish. From my perspective, this place seems even less touristy than nearby city Pereira.
Furthermore, I didn’t find that many girls who spoke decent English. Overall, I’d say you are going to struggle having any fun with the women here if you don’t speak well enough Spanish to at least a conversational level.
And if you want to improve your Spanish, try using this useful textbook or this phrasebook to help you get started. If you still have trouble with Spanish after that, having a translator for your dates with Colombian women can also be helpful
Fourth: Demographics
This is by far one of the whitest cities you will come across in Colombia. Most of the chicks are white with some chicks having brown skin also.
Not too many black chicks in general. Mostly white with some brown chicks basically
In fact, this city has very similar demographics to nearby city Pereira from what I have observed in both cities.
Fifth: Attractiveness
The girls here are fairly attractive and very similar to Pereira.
As said before, the physical quality of the women in Pereira is some of the best in the country in my opinion and Manizales is a bit similar in quality.
Moreover, I’d say the girls here are just a little bit less attractive to the women in Pereira but you likely won’t notice too much of a difference.
The only downside to the physical quality of the women here is that they generally have fewer curves than what you’d see in other Colombian cities like Cali or Barranquilla.
In addition, the women here are also a bit open to casual sex compared to other cities like Bogota or Bucaramanga. When compared to Pereira, you could say they are a little bit more conservative but again you are not likely to notice the difference too much.
In general, not much to complain about and a lot to be happy about when it comes to the women in Manizales!
Sixth: Nightlife
Given the smaller size of Manizales, I don’t think the nightlife here is as exciting as what you would find elsewhere.
Additionally, plenty of the girls here tend to go out in groups and are not as receptive to meeting a complete stranger at night in my experience.
However, given you are a foreigner, you will do better approaching at night than most locals would
Especially given that plenty of these girls are small city chicks who may have never seen a foreigner before.
Despite the small size of Manizales, there are a few places to check out:
1. Rosa Zona: Most of the clubs and bars will be located in this area.
2. Avenue Santander: You will find plenty of places to take a nice girl to around here.
3. Barrio Batallón Milán: A more upscale neighborhood that has plenty of young chicks who are interested in having some fun.
4. Rooftop La Cupula: This is by far one of my more favorite places in Manizales. This place is more active, has a good atmosphere and a good view also.
5. Tiempo de Tango: This place is pretty cool for dancing tango and other dances as well. A pretty cool place that is fun in general.
6. Watussi: This place has a good mix of salsa and other types of Latin music. Prices are very reasonable. Only complaint is that the service is a bit slow despite not always being very active.
7. JSB Manizales: This place is one of my other favorite places to visit in Manizales. It’s better for visiting among a group of friends to have a few beers, relax and chat.
8. Hometown Irish Pub: Decent place that has alright hamburgers and food in general. Also decent for meeting chicks who are interested in foreign guys in my experience. Drinks are good also.
9. Bar Silmaril: This place is a great for just relaxing and getting to know a new chick. Has plenty of drinks to offer too and reasonable prices.
10. Barcelona Bar: This place also had decent food and good drinks also. The only issue I had here was the poor customer service but the experience was good overall.
Seventh: Daygame
In my experience, daygame is by far the best way to meet girls in Manizales.
Meeting chicks at night has its limits as mentioned above and meeting them online is also limiting as explained below.
In my experience, women here are usually much friendlier than what you will encounter in larger cities like Bogota, Cartagena and especially Medellin.
In general, they are much more interested in foreigners, which is likely from their lack of experience with foreigners.
For that reason, approaching women in public here will get you a lot more receptive responses from the chicks here.
So where should you go?
Well given that this city is a bit smaller than other Colombian cities, your options are a little bit limited.
However, I’d recommend the following places based on my experience:
1. Parque Caldas and Centro Comercial Parque Caldas
2. Multicentre Star Mall
3. Centro Comercial Cable Plaza
4. Centro Comercial Fundadores
5. Mall Plaza Falabella Manizales
Among these 5 places, I’d say Parque Caldas and the Centro Comercial Parque Caldas are the best to visit.
Then Centro Comercial Cable Plaza would be a close second.
Outside of these 5 areas, I’d also greatly recommend getting access to some of the universities in the city, such as University of Manizales, Caldas University and the Autonomous University of Manizales.
You will find chicks here and there walking in between classes and are easy to approach since most are very interested in foreigners.
As emphasized before, you will need Spanish to approach any of the women in Manizales as very few know enough English.
Eighth: Online Game
I found online game to not be the best here in Manizales. It’s definitely possible to meet chicks on Tinder for something casual
However, there simply aren’t as many chicks as you would hope for given the smaller size of Manizales in general.
Therefore, I’d say online game isn’t ideal but it’s worth a try. Better than night game but worse than daygame.
And outside of Tinder, make sure to check out Colombian Cupid as it has plenty of decent women on there ready to meet a nice man.

Ninth: Restaurants
There’s one café in this city that I always enjoy visiting – Caferatto Café Especial. This place is pretty chill for the most part and has good snacks too. Great for just relaxing.
For a nice meal, I normally recommend a good steak place.
Having said that, there is one place I would recommend for decent steak and burgers – Buffalo Republic. It’s one of the only places I’d recommend in this city for a good burger or steak from my experience.
Outside of that, BFFL Serrano is decent also. I enjoyed the food but not so much the customer service. It’s decent overall.
Additionally, there’s plenty of good Italian places in this city. One of the best that you will find is Spago Bistronomia Italiana. In my experience, I found this place a little more expensive than other restaurants but the price is worth it for the quality food.
There is also a place called Napoli Pizzeria. The pizza is average but decent overall in my opinion. It’s also relatively cheap and worth the money.
Finally, there is a place called El Colmado Cocina. I was told before I went for the first time that they have more traditional Colombian food. In my experience, the food is definitely great and worth the money.
Tenth: Hotels
Given that Manizales is a smaller city in Colombia, some of the hotels here are a bit cheaper than elsewhere and still offer good quality. There are only two hotels in Manizales that I had consistent good experience with: Mirador Finca Morrogacho and Hacienda Venecia Coffee Farm.
Since I usually like suggesting 3 different hotels, I asked some friends who have been to Manizales for a third option. Among everyone I asked, Estelar Recinto del Pensamiento Hotel is often recommended.
In addition, most also recommended Hostal Mirador Andino for those who prefer to stay in a hostal
Final Thoughts
Overall, this is a great city that is not as well known in Colombia as some other cities.
For that reason, Manizales does not get as many tourists and so your value as a foreigner will be much higher here while dating Colombian girls in Manizales
Mix that in with the high physical quality of the women here and the beautiful nature nearby….
And this city makes a great place to visit for any single man looking to see some great sights and have some fun dating Colombian girls in Manizales
Given the ideal location and the close proximity to Pereira and Armenia…
Visiting this city and the broader Coffee Triangle will be a great experience for any single guy that wants to begin dating Colombian girls in Manizales
