On another Friday night, I couldn’t resist enjoying the nightlife and dating the Colombian girls in Cali.
In this case, I was in a city called Cali which is well known for its salsa culture within Colombia.
Being from a normal city in the US, I never knew how to dance salsa before. Where I’m from, nobody dances salsa.
Regardless, it didn’t matter.
The Colombian women here were very friendly and open to dancing with a foreigner who had little experience with dancing salsa.
Step by step, I got better at dancing salsa during the night as I practiced with a girl I met on Colombian Cupid.
Which is a great website for dating Colombian girls in Cali and other cities.
Her name was Valeria and she was a sweet girl who had a very pleasant and feminine personality with a great body.
We danced at a few different bars that night.
We had a few drinks.
All around, it was a great night for both of us.
Finally, we returned back to my apartment at the time where we practiced salsa throughout the rest of the night. 
Welcome to Cali.
First: Basic Facts
Having spent a few months in this city, there are a few basic facts you should know before arriving.
First, as my story implied, you will need to know how to dance the basics of salsa here.
Don’t worry, most women here won’t expect you to be perfect or amazing at dancing salsa.
However, you should learn the basics as salsa is very important for nightlife.
Second, the city is always very hot in my experience. It also has a rainy season from March to May and October to November.
Finally, the population of the city is at around 2.4 million people.
So plenty of sexy Colombian women who love dancing salsa and moving their bodies also.
Second: Safety
For various years, Cali has been one of the most dangerous cities in the world and especially in Colombia.
Compared to other cities in Colombia, I definitely have noticed the difference.
Generally speaking, I would not recommend Cali to anyone who has not been to Colombia before or Latin America in general.
However, if you use common sense and have some experience down here, you will probably be fine.
Regardless, I have met a few people down here who have gotten in trouble and been mugged or stolen from.
One other American I knew down here was kidnapped by a few guys to get him to withdraw a bunch of money from the ATM.
In my own experience, I never experienced any crime personally against me here.
Nobody has stolen from me fortunately.
So your experience will vary.
Fortunately, things appear to be getting better in Cali compared to recent years.
It used to be that Cali was ranked as the fourth most dangerous city in the world in terms of murder rate.
However, in recent years, Cali has recently been ranked as the 31st most dangerous city.
Obviously not ideal but clearly getting better.
Third: Spanish?
Similar to other cities in Colombia, you are going to need Spanish to have any success with dating Colombian girls in Cali.
Although some speak English, it isn’t ideal.
In my experience, I rarely met any girl who spoke English to a conversational level.
Remember Valeria earlier in this article?
She spoke a little bit of English but I was not able to understand what she was trying to say sometimes.
As a result, we mostly only spoke Spanish with each other.
Thankfully, I knew Spanish very well by then.
Similar to knowing the basics of salsa, being conversational at Spanish will make it easier for dating Colombian girls in Cali.

Fourth: Demographics
In Cali, you will see more women who are “morenas.” A morena is basically a person of mixed white and black ancestry.
In addition, the women here tend to be a little bit shorter than the women in other parts of the country.
Most of them have black hair as well.
Fifth: Attractiveness
Overall, the women in Cali are often described as being very attractive. Compared to other Colombian cities, the women here tend to be a bit curvier.
Additionally, there is a lot more women here with implants compared to other cities like Barranquilla.
Depending on if you like implants or not, this could be a good or bad thing for you.
Furthermore, there is very little obesity in this city. You will find a lot of very attractive and fit women here.
Plenty of sexy options for dating Colombian girls in Cali.
Regardless, you will find the women in Cali to be notably sexier than the women in some other cities and very open to foreigners in general.
Sixth: Nightlife
In my experience, nightlife is not the best way to meet women in Cali.
Compared to other Colombian cities, the women here seem a little bit less receptive compared to daygame and online game.
For that reason, I’d recommend you stick to daygame and online game when it comes to meeting women and getting phone numbers.
However, there are plenty of good bars in the city to take a girl to after you met her earlier in the day.
In fact, Cali had a lot of nightlife options compared to other Colombian cities like Barranquilla.
In that sense, it’s a great city in general for dancing and enjoying the night.
Additionally, you should learn salsa as explained before while you are here.
So much of the nightlife is based around salsa that it will be important.
So what bars should you take women to in this city?
- First, Bourbon Street is a great place. It also has good food.
- La Topa Tolondra is a great place for dancing that sometimes has a lot of women and has no cover charge.
- Las Brisas en Jamundi is a great option also.
- Avenida Sexta is an area with various clubs that are close enough to each other.
- San Alejo Bar is another great option.
- Tin Tin Deo is great for Thursdays and tends to have more tourists.
- An area called Menga is great for parties and is best for Friday and Saturday.
- Jala Jala Club is another place that is good for dancing.
- Favela Club is a good option that mostly has salsa but also sometimes has other types of music like reggaeton.
- Café Mi Tierra is good also.
Seventh: Daygame
Similar to other Colombian cities, meeting girls at the mall really seems to be one of the best places to meet them.
Meeting women in the day was the easiest way for me to find very attractive women.
And start dating Colombian girls in Cali.
For one, the women seemed a lot less flaky through daygame than online game.
This is in part because they already met you and it’s easier to build up more attraction in person than by Tinder.
The other best way to meet women here was online game, which will be discussed soon.
So what specific places should you visit to meet women here?
For me, the best mall to visit was Chipichape Mall, which is very big and has a bit more women than some of the other options.
Jardin Plaza was another place I sometimes went to. The women here were not as attractive though as some of the women you will see in Chipichape Mall.
Additionally, there is Unicentro Mall, which is another great option with a lot of women around the area. Similar to Chipichape Mall, the women here seem very receptive.
Palmetto Plaza is great too. I never went here too much but I generally saw younger women here.
I would assume most of them were in university most likely.
If you want to take any of these girls on insta dates, both Chipichape Mall and Unicentro Mall are great due to the amount of cafes and bars that are nearby.
Outside of that, you can always take them to Juan Valdez, which offers good coffee.
Furthermore, I would sometimes go to supermarkets to meet women also. I’d recommend it as they are generally friendly there also.
Eighth: Online Game
Meeting women online is a very good option. Tinder in my experience worked very well in Cali. The women here seem much more open to meeting foreigners and you will get a lot of attraction.
When using Tinder, I found there to be a decent amount of sexy women using it.
The main issue though is the flakiness.
Colombian women are pretty well known for being very flaky and in my experience the women in Cali seem a little flakier than some other parts.
There are basically 3 ways to deal with the flakiness of the women in this city and showing up late.
First, you can tolerate it to a degree and show up late yourself. After a while, you will notice a lot of women show up late or don’t show up at all.
Many times they will show up 15 to 30 minutes late.
Therefore, you can show up 15 to 30 minutes late and it’s less likely you will be waiting.
If she ends up waiting for you, it’s usually not a problem. Most women will understand if you say something like “traffic was terrible.”
Second, you can have them show up near your place at like a park or a nearby mall.
For this reason, you should probably live near a park or a mall.
In this case, you simply go about your day doing whatever you need to do at your apartment or hotel.
When she arrives, she will tell you by Whatsapp and you simply walk outside to wherever you two will meet.
In addition, this will also save you from any moments where you have to travel to another part of the city where she simply doesn’t show up at all.
This will make it easier to avoid having your time wasted.
Third, you can tell every woman you meet that you will not tolerate them showing up late and will cancel the date if they are late.
You will lose some girls doing this but you will also find plenty of women who will respect your standard and put in a bigger effort to show up on time.

Ninth: Restaurants
Being a big fan of steak, I strongly recommend Lenos & Carbon.
There’s also a few good Argentinean places such as Restaurant Argentino and Pampero Parrilla.
Given Mexican food is also one of my favorite types of food, I’d recommend Cocina Artesanal Mexicana.
La Taqueria #12 is also a good choice for Mexican food.
Also, I’d recommend Trattoria Italia or Salerno for Italian/pizza food.
Finally, you may be interested in the local food in Colombia.
Unfortunately, I am not a big fan of Colombian food.
The women and the culture are great.
The food?
Not a fan myself.
So asking a few people I know living in Cali, they recommended to me that you try La Comitiva for Colombian food.
Waunana Restaurante is also a place that is good from what I was told.

Tenth: Hotels
I rarely have ever used hotels in Cali. For most of my time there I stayed at an apartment that was about $420 USD a month in rent.
In my experience, that’s a more normal price for a decent place in Cali during that time.
However, I have a friend who is more familiar with some of the hotels in Cali.
In his words, some decent hotels in Cali that don’t cost too much are Hotel Obelisco Cali, Hotel Stein Colonial and NOW Hotel.
Of course, make sure the hotel you are staying in is close to the part of the city you want to be in.
Final Thoughts
Overall, this is a great city in Colombia if you want to find very attractive women who are also very fun to dance with.
If you are looking for something casual, you will find Cali to be one of the best cities in Colombia for women who are very attractive and very open to casual encounters.
Finally, the city is relatively cheap to some other cities in Colombia, like Bogota or Medellin.
I haven’t checked prices recently but I found Cali to be cheaper than both of those cities.
The only major downside to the city is that the city itself is very ugly with little to do in terms of tourism and still has a decent amount of crime.
In that sense, it is not an ideal city for actual living.
Regardless, there is a lot of fun to be had here.
