According to migration statistics, the top 5 departments in Colombia that have the most Venezuelans are the following:
- Bogotá D.C. (261,174 Venezuelans or 22.3% of all the Venezuelans in Colombia)
- Norte de Santander (167,958 Venezuelans or 14.30% of all the Venezuelans in Colombia)
- La Guajira (138,370 Venezuelans or 11.78% of all the Venezuelans in Colomba)
- Atlántico (123,191 Venezuelans or 10.49% of all the Venezuelans in Colombia)
- Antioquia (80,613 Venezuelans or 6.86% of all the Venezuelans in Colombia)
Of course, Venezuelans are in other parts of Colombia.
However, these statistics show 65.73% of where all the Venezuelans live and the places that I would recommend you visit if you are looking for a Venezuelan chick in Colombia.
Especially that after Antioquia, the numbers start to drop notably by amount of Venezuelans per department.
So let’s focus on these 5 areas!
Although I can’t find statistics on where the Venezuelans live in each of those departments, I’m going to assume that the capital city in each of the departments likely has a significant portion of them
So that would mean the following cities to focus on:
- Bogotá D.C. (Capital of Colombia)
- Cúcuta (Capital of Norte de Santander)
- Riohacha (Capital of La Guajira)
- Barranquilla (Capital of Atlántico)
- Medellin (Capital of Antioquia)
Given that I live in Bogota and have for some time, I feel more comfortable talking about the Venezuelans in Bogota.
And much of what I am going to say is going to reflect those experiences with the Venezuelans in Bogota
Thankfully, there are more Venezuelans in Bogota than anywhere else in Colombia so my experiences here in Bogota have given me some useful insight into dating Venezuelan girls in Colombia and specifically Bogota
For example…
You can find more Venezuelan chicks in the neighborhoods of Santa Fe and Cedritos in Bogota. Of course, you can find them elsewhere in Bogota also but those two neighborhoods have more of the Venezuelan chicks than anywhere else I noticed.
When talking about other cities on that list, I unfortunately am not aware of which neighborhoods you will want to focus onexcept for the city of Barranquilla.
Which is another city that I have spent more time in
In regards to Barranquilla, I don’t remember the exact neighborhoods but I do remember that there were more Venezuelan chicks in the lower level streets than the higher level streets.
What does that mean?
Well in Colombia, many of the streets you see do not have names like Bolivar street or something like that. Instead, they are usually numbered as calle 1, calle 20, calle 70, etc.
Mixed in with streets called Carrera 13, 218, 41, etc…
So in my few years living in Barranquilla, I did meet the occasional Venezuelan chick from time to time
Much more so than in most cities in Colombia
The thing is most of them live in the poorer parts of Barranquilla
Which means the lower numbered streets like Calle 5
That doesn’t give you a neighborhood specifically but can give you a rough idea of where some of them might be
So in regards to Bogota, there are specific neighborhoods that I already recommended that you can visit to meet Venezuelan chicks
In regards to Barranquilla..
I’d recommend you stick to online dating like any of the Cupid sites or Tinder for dating Venezuelan girls in Colombia
And I wouldn’t recommend you live in the lower numbered streets because they tend to be in more dangerous and poorer parts of Barranquilla. So it’s not as nice to live there
Instead, if you meet a Venezuelan chick online or in a public place in Barranquilla, have her meet you in a nicer area of the city like a shopping mall such as Buenvista
Finally, there are other cities on that list..
Such as Cúcuta, Riohacha or Medellin.
I am not as familiar with those cities when it comes to meeting Venezuelan chicks there but online dating should be sufficient in finding some there.
Or going to a public place like a shopping mall while you approach cute Colombian chicks also – in which case you are likely to come across an occasional cute Venezuelan chick in those areas given how many there are in those cities
The only other thing to mention here is that if your Spanish is very minimal and you don’t have any real experience in Colombia or Latin America, I’d suggest you visit the nicer Colombian cities on that list first
Because with minimal experience here and limited Spanish, you will have more difficulties spending time in some of the cities on that list
On that list…
I’d say Bogota is the best city to check out on that list for beginners that want to be dating Venezuelan girls in Colombia
I’d avoid Medellin if you are looking for specifically hot Venezuelan chicks for reasons provided later in the article.
A more distant second city to check out for Venezuelan chicks would then be Barranquilla.
And Riohacha or Cúcuta are not recommended for those with little experience here and poor Spanish
The Different Types of Venezuelan Chicks
When talking about Venezuelan chicks, it’s important to mention that they are not all the same.
Even though there will be some broad generalizations made here in this guide, it is important to remember that each individual is different
And also that there are different “types” of Venezuelan chicks that you will encounter
So let’s break those down by first focusing on class differences…
Class Differences
One of the main differences that you will see is class difference between the Venezuelan chicks.
Most that you will meet tend to be in the lower class to maybe lower middle class.
Not that many in the middle class itself.
And very few you will meet that are actually in the upper class of Colombian society.
In large part because those in the upper class and had money escaped to nicer areas of the world like Europe, Buenos Aires (Argentina), the US or Canada.
For example
I remember having met a cute white Venezuelan chick named Rosa in Barranquilla that had parents living in Spain.
Thankfully, her parents managed to leave early and take their money with them
And she was a bit more comfortable with money than most Venezuelan chicks I had met
She was doing some work that had something to do with her studies (psychology) and was going to live in Spain a year after I met her to get her Masters in Psychology
Where her parents are – moving to nicer areas of the world
That’s quite common with the upper class Venezuelans
However, you can find some of the upper class Venezuelans here also…
It’s just that they are more likely to live in one of the nicer cities like Bogota and Medellin and also are more likely to be studying at one of the better universities like Universidad de los Andes
Moving beyond the upper class chicks…
Like I said, you also have middle and lower class Venezuelan girls.
With both, you can find them in just about anywhere as you begin dating Venezuelan girls in Colombia
The middle class chicks tend to make better partners since they are less snobby than the upper class ones and also have their life together with some stable job
The lower class ones are more likely to be in a tough situation living in a bad neighborhood selling chocolate or whatever else on the street
Or in a worse scenario – being a prostitute or cam worker
20 Details About Venezuelan Women
In the rest of this guide, we will now look into some of the types of Venezuelan chicks you will find and the qualities of a typical Venezuelan chick with the class differences kept in mind.
Detail 1: Spanish?
How well do Venezuelan girls speak English or will you need Spanish to speak with them?
Well, as I always suggest on this website, not being able to communicate at a basic level in Spanish is going to limit to a great degree the amount of chicks you get in Latin America always
So always try to improve your Spanish regardless – it will always open more opportunities for dating Venezuelan girls in Colombia
Having said that, you will find that the quality of her English really depends on her class
For example
Girls from Venezuela who have more money are more likely to have studied in a private school where English was taught
They are also more likely to have spent time abroad in places like the US, Canada or Europe where English is more commonly spoken
Outside of the upper class chicks, the English levels are going to be a lot lower.
You will find some who speak some English in the middle class…
Though most won’t speak any real English that can work for conversational purposes
And most don’t either in the lower class
Having said that, remember the 3 cam model chicks I mentioned earlier that I met here?
Two of them spoke some English that was kinda workable and the third was much better at English than the other two

Detail 2: Appearance
Venezuelan chicks tend to be very similar to Colombian girls in appearance.
Where you have a solid mix of white, brown and black chicks with plenty in each group
One thing to note though is that the whiter looking Venezuelan chicks are more likely, though not always, to be more privileged and come with more money
Remember Rosa? She was a white Venezuelan chick and ultimately left Colombia to go to Spain.
Which, as I said, it’s more common for the privileged Colombian chicks to not even be in Colombia or Latin America and just go to Miami or somewhere in Europe
For that reason, you will not find as many white Venezuelan chicks as you normally would
Though there are some that you will meet in Colombia, most are going to be brown or black
Additionally, Venezuelan chicks tend to be a bit curvy as well similar to Colombian chicks.
The type of bodies you see has a similar appearance
Moreover, there are more Venezuelan chicks that have had plastic surgery like Colombian chicks
And finally, Venezuelan chicks are not too shy either in dressing up nicely in clothing that might reveal a bit of skin
So overall…
Venezuelan girls are very similar in appearance to Colombian in that they place a very heavy emphasis on trying to look the best always

But having dated several Venezuelan chicks here and seen plenty in Bogota and Barranquilla, this has been my observation:
First, Venezuelan chicks tend to be more attractive than Colombian girls from Bogota, Cali, Cúcuta, Barranquilla, Riohacha or Cartagena
Third, Venezuelan girls tend to be less attractive than girls in Pereira, Manizales or Medellin
Now….
Making a New List
Remember that list of cities that you should visit if you want to meet Venezuelan chicks?
Well, having said everything I can about appearance….
I’d say that Medellin is likely not the best option for meeting hot Venezuelan chicks
In part because that city has a lot less Venezuelan chicks in general compared to other cities
And also because it’s not as worth it to dating Venezuelan chicks in Medellin when the paisa girls in Medellin tend to be much more attractive anyway
Among other issues that exist about the city of Medellin itself that I have written about on this website
Additionally…
I’d ignore Riohacha and take it off the initial list because the city itself doesn’t have much to offer in my opinion and not worth too much time
If all you want is to date Venezuelan girls, then keep Riohacha. Otherwise, if you are in it for the broader experience and want to visit a place that actually has something else to offer aside from chicks, then Riohacha would be a no for me
So if we consider attractiveness with everything else written so far in this guide….
I’d say the following cities are the best to visit for dating Venezuelan girls in Colombia in this order:
- Bogota
- Barranquilla
- Cúcuta
Why that order specifically?
Well, Bogota simply has the most Venezuelan chicks and they are more attractive than the Colombian girls here
Plus Bogota itself is a nice city in my opinion with plenty to see
When it comes to Barranquilla and Cúcuta, it is true that there are more Venezuelan chicks in Cúcuta than Barranquilla
However, I like to consider the whole experience instead of just meeting chicks and Barranquilla has more to offer with nearby cities of Cartagena and Santa Marta
So for me personally..
Barranquilla would be a better option than Cúcuta for dating Venezuelan girls in Colombia
If in the end all you care about are the women and not the broader experience, then I’d put Cúcuta and Riohacha as options 2 and 3 with Barranquilla as number 4. No Medellin.

Detail 3: Easiness
Now moving beyond appearance and where to meet Venezuelan chicks, the next question is also what are they like sexually?
Well, Venezuelan chicks in my experience tend to be a bit easier than Colombian girls.
I suspect one of the reasons why is that it is simply easier to impress a Venezuelan girl than a Colombian one since the Venezuelan chicks are not as likely to have met a foreigner and also have less money.
On the first point, you have to remember that Venezuela’s crisis has been going on for about a decade or so.
And so tourism to Venezuela has been quite low for a while now and as of right now almost nobody is visiting Venezuela for tourism
So any chick that is at most 30 to 35 is not as likely to have met too many foreigners in her life
And the younger she is, the much less likely she has met a lot of foreigners
Of course, it also depends on how wealthy her family is and how much she has traveled
But most Venezuelan chicks don’t have that privilege in their lives
So Venezuelan girls tend to see more value in a foreigner from the US given that we are more “exotic” and “interesting” to them then Colombian girls in Medellin
Then you have the fact that plenty of Venezuelan girls are a bit poorer and easier to impress with perhaps a decent night to a bar together
Mix that in with the fact that there are more Venezuelan chicks these days who are interested in having a stable man in their life due to the amount of instability they experience in their lives
Furthermore, Venezuelan girls tend to be a bit easier in part also because..
They are a bit similar to Colombian girls also in regards to their openness to casual sex in general
But with the first two factors mentioned, you will find Venezuelan girls to be easier than Colombian girls most of the time
The only exception being the girls who are upper class and they are still about as easy as what you would expect of a normal Colombian girl since the first two factors don’t apply to them
Detail 4: Quality in Bed
In my experience, Venezuelan girls tend to be more impressive in bed than the average Colombian chick.
Though it varies of course as you will learn from dating Venezuelan girls in Colombia
In general, I’d say the average Venezuelan chick is definitely better in bed than the average girl in Bogota, Cúcuta, Santa Marta or Barranquilla
However, in cities like Medellin, Pereira or Cali, I had better experiences there then with the average Venezuelan girl
In my opinion, the reason why that is the case is most likely because girls in those cities tend to be some of the most physically attractive and/or easiest or most sexually experienced in the country
However, outside of those cities, the average Venezuelan girl is going to be better in bed than the average Colombian chick in my experience
Detail 5: Arrogance
Given that you are likely from a more developed country like the US or Canada, this is not likely to be an issue for you
But Venezuelan chicks in my experience tend to be more arrogant about their home country
Now after having lived in Latin America for some time, you will notice that people from different countries down here tend to say arrogant things like how their Latin American country is so much better than the rest of Latin America
It’s something I have seen so often
However, Venezuelans tend to be some of the more arrogant ones from my experience – a little bit behind Argentineans
Given my years down here, I have seen this arrogance become more muted as Venezuela continues to burn worse and worse each year
With Venezuelans being more quiet about it and not talking as much about how great their country is
Still, this arrogance or “nationalism” that some call it still comes back up from time to time
So just keep it in mind as you are dating Venezuelan girls in Colombia
Detail 6: Possible Family & Roots in Colombia
Way back some time ago, it used to be the case that Colombia was in deep problems with violence and instability and Venezuela was a much richer country
Then the tables flipped
Before they did, there were a lot more Colombians moving to Venezuela looking for a new home
Many of them ended up marrying a Venezuelan and having kids
And then Colombia improved (and as Venezuela got worse), they moved back to Colombia with their Venezuelan family
So it is not too uncommon to meet a Venezuelan girl who has actual roots in Colombia with family here
These chicks were usually some of the first ones to have moved to Colombia as Venezuela started going to hell
In part because they already had roots here to some degree
So among some of the Venezuelan girls who have roots here, they tend to be a bit more financially secure because of those roots and better ability to establish life here
Detail 7: More Curious & Thoughtful
In my experience, Colombian girls tend to be less interested in learning new things or showing any interest in the news, their studies, intellectual topics or anything that requires thinking
Now, this isn’t all Colombian girls obviously
For example, you can find more girls in Bogota than elsewhere that are interested in those things
But when compared to Venezuelan chicks, I generally have found that Venezuelan chicks seem to be smarter and more interested in talking about more important topics in life
And not just acting stereotypically feminine and acting as if they only care about shoes and makeup
Which I have noticed to be a little more common among Colombian chicks
So in general…
Venezuelan chicks tend to be a little better educated and easier to have a serious conversation with than Colombian girls from what I have seen.
Additionally, I found Venezuelan girls to be much more interested in where I was from and the culture of the US. In Colombia, girls often come across as if they don’t care about anything outside of Colombia, especially if they are from Medellin.
Now this may seem a bit off given that it was said earlier in the article that Venezuelans have a reputation for arrogance
From my outside perspective..
I suspect that the arrogance doesn’t matter anymore as Venezuelan girls now are leaving their country to look for a nicer life elsewhere like in Colombia.
Therefore, traveling away from their homeland likely has made the difference as to why Venezuelan girls seem more interested in life and culture outside of Venezuela as compared to how Colombian girls are.
So between the two, even though there are Colombian girls interested in deeper topics in life, I have found Venezuelan girls to be more commonly interested in those topics than Colombian ones
Detail 8: Less Cheating
Generally speaking, I have found there to be less cheating with Venezuelan chicks than Colombian
Now that isn’t to say that a lot of cheating doesn’t happen among Venezuelan girls
Only that it has been less of a thing with Venezuelan girls than Colombian
Of course, if we are being honest, this also depends on what type of Colombian girl we are talking about
For example, girls from Bogota tend to be more serious than the average Venezuelan chick
However, when compared to girls from cities like Cartagena, Medellin, Pereira or Cali, Venezuelan girls are going to be more faithful on average in my experience.
Detail 9: Supporting the Family
If the Venezuelan girl still has family living in Venezuela, it’s not uncommon for her trying to find a way to financially support her family back home somehow.
I say this because of a few reasons….
First, you have to be careful. There will be some Venezuelan chicks looking to scam you by pretending to be interested in you and sending photos to you perhaps in hopes that you can help her out
Where they might be saying “te quiero” (I love you) a bit too quickly…
Like after an hour of first talking with you online or however you met her
Just protect yourself and make sure you don’t fall for her scam
Second, if she isn’t looking to exploit you for money and you two genuinely love each other, then this issue of her family may likely be an issue for both of you as you become more serious
Especially if marriage ever happens
So just keep that in mind obviously as she may ask for help from time to time with an occasional hundred dollars to help any family in Venezuela
Not all genuine Venezuelan chicks will ask for the help but some will
Detail 10: Very Warm & Passionate
Similar to Colombian girls, Venezuelan chicks tend to be very warm and passionate.
Their personalities are very friendly and open to meeting new people.
In fact, compared to Colombians, I find Venezuelans to be generally nicer to be with and friendlier overall.
One extra detail to mention here…
Is that this aspect likely varies from where in Venezuela she comes from.
Though I have limited experience in Venezuela itself, I have noticed that girls from Caracas tend to be a little more serious and less warm than girls from other parts like Maracaibo or Mérida for example.
So if you meet a genuine girl from Venezuela who isn’t looking to use you, you can likely expect a very sweet girl in general (though this will vary by where she is from).
Detail 11: Dancing is Important
Venezuelan girls like to dance and plenty of them know how to as well.
In my experience with the Venezuelan girls I have known, salsa was always the more common Latin dance that we had fun with
Similar to Colombian chicks, a Venezuelan girl is not going to expect that a foreigner knows how to dance salsa or any Latin dance
Therefore, by even showing interest in it and asking her to teach you will make her like you more for showing interest in her culture
And if you dance do the basics, which isn’t too hard to learn after some time, then you can really impress a lot of Venezuelan girls
Detail 12: Jealously
Compared to Colombian girls, I found Venezuelan girls to be less jealous on average.
However, that jealously still exists to a notable degree among them and so you should keep that in mind when dating Venezuelan chicks
Now the younger she is, the more likely it is that she is going to be immature and show jealously when it isn’t needed
And if she is acting jealous for no justified reason, then of course stand your ground and keep your cool. Defend yourself against whatever she is saying in a respectful manner and she will likely let the issue go knowing that she is just being jealous.
Nothing much to worry about
Detail 13: Materialistic & Classist
This is another characteristic that you equally see in Colombian girls
The difference?
It’s much worse in Colombian women than Venezuelan women
In my experience, Venezuelan women also tend to have signs of materialism and classism but it’s not as extreme or common
One reason for this is likely because most Venezuelans you meet are more likely to come from humble backgrounds given the state of your country right now
So you have a lot more middle class or lower class Venezuelan girls who are not as focused on the latest shiny things in life
So for that reason, I find Venezuelan girls to be less demanding than Colombian ones and also more appreciative of the simpler things in life
Detail 14: Some Crazy Political Opinions
As a result of how bad Venezuela is right now, Venezuelans tend to have much more heated political opinions than most other people in Latin America
To the point I have seen a lot more extreme opinions among Venezuelans than people in other countries like Colombia
On one hand, you have the folks who are crazy for Chavez & Maduro in Venezuela
However, I have never seen too many of those outside of Venezuela
Which makes sense given Maduro is still in power
And then you have plenty of Venezuelan girls who just hate Maduro and blame him for everything that is wrong in the country
And some of them, like I said, have more extreme views
I met one Venezuelan girl who wanted all the people who voted for Chavez & Maduro to be thrown to jail
Which…jailing your political opponents isn’t necessarily the first step to having democracy again
But regardless, it is what it is
The intense situation in Venezuela has caused a lot of people to have very heated and sometimes extreme political opinions
Therefore, when it comes to dating Venezuelan chicks…
There are 2 things to mention:
First, if she is pro Maduro or Chavez, I’d say most likely she isn’t serious dating material. Girls who are for Maduro or Chavez in my experience tend to have more crazy SJW opinions and will be less friendly to be with in a serious relationship. Though exceptions exist, I’d caution against girls like this.
Second, be careful with discussing politics with a Venezuelan girl. She may take things very personally depending on your opinion of things there given it is her country and the condition her country is in right now is pretty bad.
Detail 15: Importance of Catholicism
In my experience, I often found two extremes when it comes to dating Venezuelan girls.
First, relative to Latinas from other countries, I found there to be more atheists and agnostics among Venezuelan girls.
In just a few cases, I found some of the girls to lose interest in religion in part because of their bitterness from what have happened in Venezuela and that subsequently has made some lose faith
However, I have met plenty of other Venezuelan girls who are very religious and have used religion as a way to help them get through these difficult financial times.
So similar to the political opinions that exist, I have seen some notable extremes in Venezuelan girls in my life.
Detail 16: The Sex Worker
If you live in Latin America long enough in one of the major cities, you will eventually see this type of chick.
In fact, you will start to associate “Venezuelan chick” with “prostitute” when using Tinder for example
In large part because most (well over 80%) of all the Venezuelan chicks I encountered on Tinder were prostitutes
This doesn’t mean that most Venezuelan chicks in general are prostitutes
Just that the ones on Tinder have been in my experience
This is because Venezuelan prostitutes are using Tinder as a way to meet potential clients and most of the normal Venezuelan chicks are not using Tinder because they are working long hours in a more normal job just to survive
Therefore, if you are using Tinder down here, you will encounter Venezuelan chicks often enough who are prostitutes on there
Outside of Tinder, I also remember meeting 3 different Venezuelan chicks who were “cam models”
If you don’t know what that is – it’s basically a chick that does sexual stuff in front of a camera on a website for money
The reality is that quite a few Venezuelan chicks have resorted to sex work as a way to survive and it will be something that you will see down here
Detail 17: Late to the Date
Similar to Colombian girls, it is very common for your Venezuelan girl to show up late to any date you have with her. So if you are setting up a date, as suggested elsewhere on this website…
Tell her to show up 15 to 30 minutes earlier than when you want to see her.
That way she is more likely to show up to where you want to meet her at the actual time you want the date to start.
Detail 18: Desire to Go Home
Most Venezuelans I have met (guys and girls) usually express interest in returning home to live in Venezuela again.
After so much time living outside your home country, most of us would want to go back to what is familiar and where family might be.
Therefore, if you decide to ever enter into a serious long term relationship with a Venezuelan chick, keep that in mind that someday she may be interested in living a life in Venezuela if things ever become stable again.
So therefore you may have to ask yourself if you could ever live long term in Venezuela if everything stabilized in that country

Detail 19: Age Differences
This is not an issue I have too much experience with but only some.
Among most of the Venezuelan girls I have gone on a date with, most were close to my age.
However, one was about 6 or 7 years younger than me in which I was 29 and she was 22 or 23.
As of right now, I know one friend who is living in Colombia long term and actually has been dating a Venezuelan girl who is 11 years younger than him.
In short, age differences seem to be acceptable for Venezuelan chicks also similar to Colombian girls.
Additionally, I would suspect that Venezuelan girls are likely even more tolerant of it than Colombian girls are because of the greater desire on their part to find a stable husband who can provide a good life outside of Venezuela.
Girls in general just tend to be more accepting of bigger age differences the more they desire the stability and providing ability of a guy.
Detail 20: Traditional
Similar to Colombian girls, Venezuelan chicks tend to be traditional also in that they value greatly dressing nicely, cooking a nice meal for a guy they love and more.
And from what I have seen, you generally see less “careerist” types of women among Venezuelan girls than even Colombian ones.
And in Colombia there have never been too many careerist types anyway aside from some here and there in places like Bogota
Date Tip: Cooking Arepas at Your Place
Have you met a cute Venezuelan chick that you think is attractive and you would like to get to know more?
When I was actively dating girls while single, I occasionally met a Venezuelan chick here and there
And one thing I did was have them show up to my place on the first date to cook me something nice for us to eat together
I buy, she cooks
Though I usually don’t like eating on the first date, I feel more comfortable making an exception if the girl is willing to cook for us
Therefore, one type of food you could have her cook if she knows how to is an arepa
Which is a very popular food in Colombia and Venezuela – so much so that Colombians and Venezuelans will even argue sometimes about which country has the better arepa
Either way, it’s simply made out of ground maize dough other ingredients like cheese and some chicken for example
I’m not an expert at how to make it but it always tastes great
And of course, having a cute Venezuelan girl cook you a nice arepa before taking her to the bedroom is always a great way to spend your day
