What are some of the most beautiful places to see in Colombia?
Based on my experience alone in Colombia, the following are the best bang for you buck when it comes to the beautiful places to see in Colombia:
1: Parque Tayrona
This is a beautiful park known for its beaches and hot beautiful women all around enjoying the sun.
What more do you need?
Not to mention the food in the area is decent and that the water is nice to enjoy as well
This is one of those places in Colombia that you have to see while here.
2: Coffee Triangle & Cocora Valley and a Finca de Café
This is a place that is not often well explored by tourists given that it is more in the interior of the country and not as well visited with so many tourists going to larger cities like Medellin or Bogota
However, it is absolutely worth the visit given the amazing nature that can be seen here
This place has endless amounts of lush green mountains and nice hiking trails
Not to menton plenty of fincas del café where you can relax and enjoy a nice cup of coffee perhaps and the nature here at the same time
Additionally, this place is also a good budget option given it is not too expensive to enjoy the nature here and just hike
3: Los Nevados National Natural Park
Relatively close to the last option, you have to visit this place if you are going to enjoy the Cocora Valley also.
If you love hiking, this park has some of the best hiking opportunities you can find in the country
Just make sure to bring some extra warm clothing since it was a little bit chilly when I went there.
4: Rosario Islands
When visiting the city of Cartagena, you have the option of visiting the Rosaro Islands
This place has amazing scenery with lush green nature and crystal blue water to enjoy as well
Amazingly, it was not too expensive when I went either – making it a great deal!
5: Barranquilla Carnival
Leaving aside a second the nature and beaches in Colombia, let’s talk about enjoying Colombian culture
The Barranquilla Carnival is one of the best and largest carnivals in all of Latin America around February time
Back when I first lived in Colombia, I spent my first months in Barranquilla and got to enjoy the Barranquilla Carnival
Where you will see plenty of performers march down the street in a carnival with plenty of music and entertainment
Not to mention that the party doesn’t stop!
Music goes on and you have people drinking in the street
And for those who want to enjoy the Colombian women…
Well, you got plenty of hot women marching down the street during the carnival also
Not to mention the fact that the women during this time are a bit more open to casual hookups since they want to enjoy the moment and celebrate this time of year
Finally, a lot of the bars in the area offer cheaper alcohol during this time for those who want to have fun
Cheap beer and fun sexy women down for casual hookups with good music and a good atmosphere

6: Cartagena’s Historical Areas
In another example of Colombia’s culture, the historical areas in Cartagena are some of the best in the country
Most notably the Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas
Which is an historical fortress that was built during the Spanish colonial era and worth a visit or two
Close by you also have the famous Walled City with more colonial architecture
Just remember to bring some extra money to enjoy Cartagena since this city is a little more expensive to spend time in than other Colombian cities
7: Caño Cristales
This area is a beautiful Colombian river that is often called the “River of Five Colors” or the “Liquid Rainbow.”
In large part because of the numerous colors that you will see in this river
It is not as well visited as some of the other parts of Colombia that I have mentioned, which means that it is a great deal for your budget as well
8: Lost City (Ciudad Perdida)
This is an old archaeological area of an old city in Colombia that existed before Spanish colonial times and is even believed to have existed before the famous Machu Picchu was built in Peru.
Located in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the trek to this city is worth the visit in of itself
Which is why this is one of my favorite places to visit in Colombia since you get a good mix of both amazing natural views and also insight into some of the pre colonial history of Colombia.
9: San Andres Islands
For those thinking of enjoying amazing beaches with crystal blue waters, San Andres Islands is by far the best that Colombia has to offer
Even better than what Parque Tayrona has to offer
This place is great to visit if you are bringing a partner with you and also has very good restaurants and hotels to enjoy as well
Some of the negatives are that it is a little more touristy than other parts of Colombia and also a little more expensive
So make sure to save up if you plan to visit
10: Amazon Rainforest
Finally, saving the best for last!
If you plan to visit the Amazon Rainforest, which is one of my favorite places to visit in Colombia also, you will be going to the town of Leticia
From there, you can enjoy all the nature that this place has to offer
Relative to other countries like Brazil or Peru, the Amazon Rainforest is cheaper to visit in Colombia from what I know and you get to enjoy an equally nice experience
Overall
Of course, there is a lot more to Colombia than just the areas mentioned here.
There are endless amounts of touristy places that are worth the visit
